Jesus The Great Comforter! When Life is not fair!

We see it all the time in people's lives someunwanted circumstance enters and life is turnedupside down. A loss of a job, an unexpected bill,sickness you name it. I think we have all said atone time or another, "gosh, life just doesn't seemto be fair. It does not suppose to be this way; itwasn't what I had planned."

Heart Matters-- What Matters Most

With excitement and anticipation I jumped on aplane last Thursday evening to Florida to visit myfamily and fish some with my dad. Six hours afterarrival I painfully watched while many types ofmedical professionals frantically, yetmethodically temporarily stop my father's heart inorder to prevent it not to matter twenty minuteslater.

My Name is HAD-- Life Lessons Learned!

My name is Had. You may know me, but you may not know my new name. You may have no idea what I ?ve been through because I do my best to look the same. I am scared to death of you. I use to be just like you. I once held my head up high without propping in on my hymnal. I was well respected back then, and I even respected myself. I was whole-hearted devoted to God, and if the truth be known, somewhere deep inside I was sometimes the slightest bit proud of my devotion. Then I?d repent because I knew pride was wrong. I didn?t want to be wrong. Not ever. People looked up to me. And life looked good from up there. I felt good about who I was. That was before I was Had. Strangely, I no longer remember my old name. I just remembered I liked it. I liked who I was. I wish I could go back. I wish I would just wake up. But I fear I?m wide awake. I have had a nightmare. And the nightmare was me Had.

Passions of the Heart!

There are no better people to be around than thosewho have a zest for life and a joy in theirhearts. Few as there may be, when you meet one youjust know it. There's something about them thatdraws you inward, some call it a persons,"Persona", I believe God would call it your,"Passion." Some say you are just born with thatinner balance and security that is so magnetic.

Run Forest Gump Run

In the movie "Forest Gump" we see Forest succeedin just about every aspect of his life. What weadmire most about him is his ability to overcomephysical obstacles all throughout his life. Butwhat we didn't see is Forest had much more goingfor him than just being naive and gutsy. We firstsee this in a scene where he is a child withbraces on his legs. His best friend Jennie and himare walking home one day and some boys are pickingon Forest and throwing rocks at him. Jennie yellsout, "RUN FOREST RUN", so what did Forest do? Heran, and ran and ran. He ran so much and so hardthat his braces broke from his legs and he neverhad to wear them again.

Horse Racing and Seabiscut -- A Hope, A Prayer, and A Horse!

Even though our lives progressively moves forwardon occasion it has a way of working what seems tobe in a backwards motion, yet in the end achievesthe same results. I remember years ago when Istarted my bodybuilding career, I had no self-confidence, poor self-esteem, and an introvertedpersonality. I couldn't fathom doing what othersbelieved I could accomplish in such an unusualsport that went totally against my nature.However, at first I thought, "I didn't want to letthem down and what if they're right? What if Icould accomplish something if I set my mind to it,I asked? What if by believing in something biggerthan myself would allow me to be a better person,develop confidence and be more outgoing?" Thenover a period of time the belief others hadstarted to rub off in me, combined with my workethic the rest became history.

Time Changes-- Spring Forward Or Fall Back!

In the game of billiards there are two things youwant to avoid. First, never scratch (put the whiteball in the pocket) you forfeit your turn.Second, if at all possible do not end up behindthe eight ball. If you've ever been there you knowit can be frustrating. The options you have arelimited and the black ball has forced you to playits game not yours. In the "art of war" generalsmain objective of their mission is to keep theinitiative, in other words always hold theadvantage. If they don't, missions are compromisedthe war is strung out and worse yet, lives are putin jeopardy.

Miracles

It is my personal view that the reason we call things that we don't understand "miracles" is because we are trying to understand them within a very limited framework. This framework is that of our beliefs which have been based largely on scientific inquiry and also exclusively on the use of our intellect or rational mind.

Do People See Visions Anymore?

Unless God has changed the way he does things it would seem that he has kept the lines open to men and women as usual. Should there be any doubt let me tell you a true story of a sequence of events in my own life. The tongue is such a tiny little organ. Yet, it can be one of the most powerful weapons. James 3 has a lot to say about the tongue?I suggest that you read the entire chapter. (It?s very short)?Anyway, verse 6 says; And the tongue is a fire. The tongue is a world of wickedness set among our members, contaminating and depraving the whole body? Whew, those are some strong words?but, wait, that?s not all. Proverbs 18:21 tells us; Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it for death or life. It is scary to think that my mouth has that much power.

What Is Your Relationship To Time?

Have you ever thought about how your orientation to time profoundly affects the way you are in the world? Each culture has its own unique way of relating to the concept of "time". Some cultures perceive time as a room that is lived in. The "room" of time is a constant that stays the same, as we change during the course of our lives. American culture seems to more and more think of time as a commodity there is never enough of. When time is "wasted" a person misses out on an opportunity that may never present itself again. Still other cultures experience time as being circular, without a beginning or an end, and with no clear markers as to past, present, and future. No matter how we think about it, our relationship to time has a profound impact on what we believe is possible. Here is a story to illustrate what I mean.

Life is full of ups and downs, trials, and tribulations. They are called the storms of life. Standing in the Gap

He asked me, "Mommy is it true that men can marry men and women can marry women?" "Mom, if two women marry can they have a baby?" My son is 6. I don't want to be discussing sexuality with him much less homosexuality. So, I told him that no men can't marry men and women can't marry women (for now anyway) and that women with women cannot have a baby. (Don't get me started on explaining how they can).� I should not be having these discussions with my children, but I'm being forced too.� What happened to childhood innocence?

What Is The Universal Subconscious?
There are many different and interchangeable terms that are used to describe the Universal Subconscious mind. But whatever term you use, metaphysicians and scientists agree that our Universe is a field of vibrating energy. Things that are denser operate at a lower frequency, and then there are also finer forms, such as thoughts and emotions, which operate at a much higher frequency. The expression "Spiritual Enlightenment" has been used often in reference to personal spiritual development. What exactly is meant by this term however has been vaguely defined. My research on the topic has found it linked to some of the following experiences:
