Pebbles of Wisdom Coming face to face with yourself in the space between the beginning and end of the transitions in your life is a scary place to be. Going backward in not an option. Going forward is just as unimagineable without a road map. It's where your soul meets the devil. It's where hope and hopelessness are synonomous. You come face to face with your demons as your self protective ego runs scampering into the darkness realizing she no longer fools you with her grandiose schemes and plans. And without the protection from your ego your old self defeating habits take over your life and side rail your best intentions to be that productive person you long ago ceased to be. Building The Body of Christ As a walked across the gym floor with perspiration coming from my brow, my wife, Denise said "honey, you're a bodybuilder". I looked at her with amazement was my wife just getting it. I had been building this body for more than twenty years. Then again she said, "You're a bodybuilder", it was then that I got the revelation she was speaking of the body of Christ. She was saying what Paul was inspired to say in Ephesians 4:12 "to prepare God's people for works of service, so the body of Christ may be built up." Since that day neither of our lives will be the same. Jesus the Great Teacher --Lessons Learned! I don't know of anyone who really liked takingtests in school if you did there is somethingseriously wrong with you. It just seemed asthough some breezed through while people likemyself always struggled. Life is not fair!!!! Somecall it tests anxiety. I think I just concentratedon trying not to get the answer wrong instead ofrelaxing and allowing my brain to find the answerin my head. Most times the next day I could dobetter because of no pressure. Second golf shotsare like that too! So when I received my testscores back all I noticed were the red marks anddisappointments instead of how many right answersI had out of one hundred. Having said that,perfect test scores were few and far between formost of us I think. Here To Stay I am disturbed by the tendency of some people to view Christianity as a trend rather than a way of life. Some take it to the next level and try to make it some sort of a secret club. If you doubt me, just look at the reaction to the 2004 election results. It didn't take the media long to start harping on how "Evangelical Christians" turned the tide and were trying to establish their morality through politics. Pretty soon, newspapers and magazines were filled with angry diatribes of how we had no right to push our beliefs on them, and how we are trying to establish a "wacky theocracy." The only thing more disturbing than this are the people that pick and choose popular aspects of the faith that they believe promise a quick, miracle cure for their problems. They will accept good things like peace, grace, and salvation, but ignore the difficult things like patience, obedience, and sacrifice. The first time they have to wait or give up something, they're out of the game. A subject of debate for thousands of years, spirituality will no doubt spark much debate for another thousand years. That is how it should be. Once spirituality becomes 100% defined by 100% of the human population, then uniformity and rigid boundaries take over. Should that ever occur, then there is no spirituality, for spirituality cannot be locked in a box and confined within its walls. Spiritual Solution for Tensions and Anxiety Realisation and repeated memorization of the true knowledge is the only one solution for this problem. The ignorance is responsible for all the anxiety and tensions. One should know that every one has climbed the time (Kala), which is the running train. Death is the station at which one has to get down. Then every one should face the Lord for the enquiry.After the enquiry one will get either permanent happiness or permanent misery. The journey of this train to that station is the human life, which is only a fraction of second when it is compared to the infinite stream of time set up from the beginning of the creation. To think that the life is very long itself is ignorance. Every one is sitting in a closed compartment and realisation of the truth is the window through which every one should peep to find the infinite time stream. Only on such comparison the human life becomes a small fraction of a second. When the realization is absent and when there is no comparison the lifetime appears to be very long. First one should cross this illusion of time. Similarly, the illusion of the place. The earth looks very large under the ignorance. Two Types Of Spirituality ... Faith And Knowledge The term spirituality is a confusing term. Usually, when one mentions spirituality, the first thought in many people's minds is that of religion. While religion is an aspect of spirituality, spirituality is not an aspect of religion. Spirituality covers other areas of belief as well. Put simply, spirituality is the all-encompassing arena of belief in something greater. This can be a god, oneself as the greater being, or simply, the life-force or essence that surrounds us all. But, society and religion lead their followers in many different directions replacing the core meanings with moralistic and idealistic terms in hopes of garnering attention by answering those big questions pertaining to life, death, the after-life, and a god. Anger in Your Energy Field Many consider anger a normal human emotion and continue to allow themselves to be seduced by it. I suppose another way of saying that, although it's not my preference, is that many are "addicted" to anger and "think" that it is of some use in their lives.
