Every time I go to the gym I observe people, their training tactics and their workout habits. Over the last few years I have noticed something about certain people in the gym that has been interesting. You would think more people would do this but they don?t. What I have noticed is certain people have a habit or process they go through when they workout that most do not. What is interesting is, before I even realize that they do it, I can tell by the way their bodies look that they have this habit. They are leaner, healthier looking, and stronger than most. I'm not sure how much popularity thebible has in Japan today either. Yet, it seems asthough the Japanese people have at least onebiblical principle figured out. In the book,"First Things First", Steven Covey helps usunderstand how and why the Japanese people thinkhow they do and accomplish so much more thanAmerican's in a same twenty-four hour period.Covey explains, that we can divide all our dailytasks into two main areas of our lives. In forty-seven tries he placed inthe top ten eight times and three of them werepreviously placing third in The Masters, yet henever could win the big one. God?s Eyes- If These Four Walls Could Talk? Can you imagine being sent out into the wildernessfor forty years like Moses? If Moses would havelived his life up until then differently would Godhave spared him the discomfort? Was God trying toprove some point to Moses by making an example ofhim? What can we learn about this story? Loving People In Spite Of Them, Not Because Of Them! Before the movie "Finding Nemo", came out SteveJobs the founder of the Apple Computer companyspent millions of dollars promoting it. Why Would You Want to be Enlightened? Yesterday, a marketing guru asked me a question that left me speechless. My Experience with Spiritual Healing Healing is a special gift that any human being can have. It is fortunate that we are provided with the opportunity to acknowledge and develop it. There is no difference from any human being performing healing and Christ healing. The only difference is if you belong to a large institution like a Catholic church where healing is sometimes defined as a miracle. Many great healers came into our plane and performed their miracles, such as Edward Cayce, Harry Edwards and many others known and unknown to us. The good part of it is that we are all healers. The only difference between a full pledged healer and any one of us is very simple. A healer is a human being who has dedicated his or her life in order to help humanity and to show us that we are not alone, by becoming a channel for the spirit to do their work. Many powers are beyond our sense of understanding or belief system. If this is your path in this lifetime then this will become part of your life because you have already been chosen for that path. Psychic Vampires, and How to Cope with Them! Forget what you have read or seen about vampires. The old image of count Dracula, or even his modern contempories is not what we are going to talk about here. No. A Short Journey to Your Divine Self By invoking an external God to whom we look for help we often lose sight of the fact that we have within us the very power that we seek in such an external force. Now of course I don't just expect you to believe this in the way that religions of the world expect you to believe the converse. Instead I hope to convey here a short but simple exercise that you can do at your leisure to find this very power within yourself. This power emerges from what I call the Divine Self. What is this Self? Well, it's You! Yes, You! The Power of God?s Word in Your Prayer Life Prayer. It's the foundation of a Christian mom's life. Why? Because as moms, we are one of the most influential people in our children's lives. (The other, equally influential person is their father, of course.) For good or bad, what we say and do to our children affects their self-esteem, their choice of a future spouse, their occupation, and their positive (or negative) outlook on life. CEROMANCY: The Fine Art of Candle Reading Lately, I have been asked a lot of questions in the Psychic Realm chatroom about "ceromancy". That is the fine art of reading a situation by studying the way a candle burns. Are the flames leaping high? Is the wax sizzling and crackling and popping? What does it mean when the flame goes out? Kundalini Awakening - Definition and the Path Kundalini Awakening - the sure shot method for awakening of the kundalini. Affirmations for Emotional Hygiene Last week I talked about the need to practice emotional hygiene, that is -- emptying your head of all toxic emotions such as jealousy, resentment, envy in order to create a kind of "blank slate." You need to clean your conscious mind of these emotions so that you can use the power of your subconscious mind to manifest more positive events in your life. I talked about the power of words, and in particular, how negative self-talk can hold you back and disconnect you from the intuitive wisdom of your higher self. 5 Paper Management Tips for Christians My favorite scripture is Roman's 8:28. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." We Fall Down -- But We Get Up When I first heard Donnie McClurkin's song, "We Fall Down (But We Get Up), I got goosebumps. The second time I heard it I loved it even more. There is a Gospel House remix of the song that is simply off the hook. Anam Cara - Discovering Your Being The more that "little me" allows surrender the more is done. What is done is "good." This, I know, seems a value judgement. It might be better to say that "what is done is joy." No resistance. No getting in the way. No concern for results. Simply trusting what will be will be. This free flow of feeling energy is the experience of joy. Anger in Your Energy Field Many consider anger a normal human emotion and continue to allow themselves to be seduced by it. I suppose another way of saying that, although it's not my preference, is that many are "addicted" to anger and "think" that it is of some use in their lives. ?Im Not A Christian, But I Play One On Sunday After more than three decades of church ministry, I have come to one unsettling conclusion. Actually, I've come to more than one conclusion, but this one is the most depressing. Significant Examples of the Mother Who Influenced My Life As Mother's day is upon us, Iam moved to express my gratitude for the example of the Flame of the Mother my life has borne witness to. Going Where Youve Never Gone Before One of the first issues people on the spiritual path have to address is a doctrinal one: Is it wrong to ask questions that I've never asked before? Is asking questions about the truth we've been taught "sinful?" Your answer can have a dramatic effect on your ability to explore who you are and what you believe in without guilt! A Medical Intuitive Look at Past Life Wounding In my work as a Medical Intuitive, I come across many instances where a client's past lives are impacting their current physical and emotional health. You Are a Person of Abundance Heaven is a place of abundance and earth is a place of abundance. Every where God is, is a place of abundance, for God is an abundant God. If God is in you, then you are a person of abundance! Astrology & The Bible: Age of Aquarius The normal Aquarian preoccupation with rational science is clearly seen in the way that our civilization is becoming increasingly based on, and dominated by science and technology. However, the keyword of Aquarius is 'humanity' and it is to be hoped that this quality will modify the present over emphasis on science, harnessing it more to the actual needs of man, than simply to what is technically possible. The moderating influence of Aquarius' polarity with Leo will also be needed to avert the dangers of revolution, and reinforce the growing concern for peace. Where Do You Cast? "Cast all your anxiety on Him for He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7. Here To Stay I am disturbed by the tendency of some people to view Christianity as a trend rather than a way of life. Some take it to the next level and try to make it some sort of a secret club. If you doubt me, just look at the reaction to the 2004 election results. It didn't take the media long to start harping on how "Evangelical Christians" turned the tide and were trying to establish their morality through politics. Pretty soon, newspapers and magazines were filled with angry diatribes of how we had no right to push our beliefs on them, and how we are trying to establish a "wacky theocracy." The only thing more disturbing than this are the people that pick and choose popular aspects of the faith that they believe promise a quick, miracle cure for their problems. They will accept good things like peace, grace, and salvation, but ignore the difficult things like patience, obedience, and sacrifice. The first time they have to wait or give up something, they're out of the game. ![]() |
