In the Aftermath of Mankind
It is life, time for breathing deep, sighs and touching without fingers. Hummingbirds whizzing by my ears, the striking fear of that buzzing sound, so large and loud. Only they can scare me. Ground squirrels like the cutest babies, curious and bold. Sitting on their tails, eating seeds so fast, my eyes water while trying to behold their skills. Oh my heart loves to be there with them. They like me to see them. They say " hey mister, I remember you from the cold winter" So frosty then, now the lushness, the verdant, and prolific species of our Mother. I walk the trails, alone, looking for other signs. Signs of man from a distant time. People who understood the tempo and rythm of her heart. Beating in time with some unknown syncopated clock. Their arrowhead fragments are like neon signs to me. Some tell me, they have looked for all their lives, with not a sight of one. The smell of the earth tells me where they are. Something different about that place, you know, where they were. They lived, died, and were reborn right in the same places for countless generations. Why wouldn't it smell and look different. Yet, somehow they understood the breathing of Her. She coughed, they ran. She cried, they stood under it and consoled Her, all the while, bathing themselves in Her tears. honored citizens of Her kingdom. Those people counted themselves, fortunate. It was an honor to live and be a part of the Mother, whom they called the Earth.A priveledge, can you understand this. If not, then consider this. Today, we walk right by the flowers that were once the life, medicine, and luxury of a long gone civilization. The old ones are gone. They seem to have taken the blessing of the Mother with them. Animals, seems like someone said that, we have dominion over them. Words written and deduced by a man. We don't think that way, well, many of us. We agree with the philosophy that we are a part of the Earth. As our fourlegged, and winged Brothers and Sisters exist with us, not for us. It is there on the prairie of Prophetstown that I can feel those old ways seeping relentlessly into my bones. I am more concerned now that I stand, in the four seasons with the animals. I watch them live and die. Somehow, I live and die with each one of them, daily. It is now, that, I can see so clearly what many of us have lost through our modern lives. Callous and unobserving, cold and distracted, no wonder I find so many people, who can't seem to find their way in life. They are out there looking somehow, instinctively, coming to the prairie. They are trying to find a world which has not left us, but, one who is unseen by the many. I kneel on the Earth, soft, loving and enveloping my soul. Warmth and kindness ooze from Her pores as I pray to my Creator. Humbled by my diminuative being before Him. She holds me in Her loving embrace like the wonderful Mother holds Her child. World, I can not express the great fortune that has befallen me on her Prairie. Luksi Humma servant of the Creator

Jesus the Great Teacher --Lessons Learned! I don't know of anyone who really liked takingtests in school if you did there is somethingseriously wrong with you. It just seemed asthough some breezed through while people likemyself always struggled. Life is not fair!!!! Somecall it tests anxiety. I think I just concentratedon trying not to get the answer wrong instead ofrelaxing and allowing my brain to find the answerin my head. Most times the next day I could dobetter because of no pressure. Second golf shotsare like that too! So when I received my testscores back all I noticed were the red marks anddisappointments instead of how many right answersI had out of one hundred. Having said that, perfect test scores were few and far between formost of us I think. The Lord is My Shepherd An acrostic prayer poem. Enthusiam And The Spirit In this article, I would like deal with one specific aspect of attitude, that is, "enthusiasm." To have an enthusiastic attitude about we do is essential. CEROMANCY: The Fine Art of Candle Reading Lately, I have been asked a lot of questions in the Psychic Realm chatroom about "ceromancy". That is the fine art of reading a situation by studying the way a candle burns. Are the flames leaping high? Is the wax sizzling and crackling and popping? What does it mean when the flame goes out? God Drives a Harley, a Bus and a Taxi God rides a Harley, God drives truck, God is a dictator in a small country, God is a doctor and a patient, God is the Saint and the sinner, and yes God is even a lawyer. There is nothing that God is not. God is in and around everything because God is who you truly are, you have simply forgotten. The Power of Ritual As humans, we are the species that operate with symbols. Other animals use familiar signs, landmarks and gestures given by us, or act purely on instinct. Like humans, they too have rituals of gathering food, procreation and even death rituals. Our normal day-to-day rituals include a shower, combing our hair, brushing teeth and preparing for work. Humanity Needs Islam The human nature means the soul and the body. A man without a spiritual life is no longer a man. Equally, whoever proclaims that spiritual training can delete the materialistic demands of that body is a devil in the clothes of a saint. Can he give up sleeping? Is he ready to destroy his body and to be a soul flying in the world of ideals? True Health Some may ask, is there any truth to have a healthy life. I say yes it is. Let' see what the Bible says. First look at the book of Proverbs 3:3 it says Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck; write them on the table of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Now look further at verse 3:7 it says Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. It says also in the book of Proverbs 4:20 My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body. Above all else, guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life. Getting the Feel of Your Faith Whether we admit it or not, we operate by emotion. Our comfort level, attitude, and efficience are largely determined by how we feel. Getting the feel of your faith enables you to be confident and comfortable with your spiritual condition. It determines your influence, where and how often you attend church services, and what you do for the Lord. You Are Spirit Powered (Moving to Transformation) A spiritual event is what happens in every moment of every day of our lives. It is not only about the extraordinary things that happen in our lives that we cannot explain, but everyday things, like working watching TV, making love or going to the bathroom. It is not something that is veiled in mystery, ritual or mystic ceremonies. Being spiritual is being ordinary. Everything is spiritual we are spiritual beings. Therefore all that we do is spiritual. Divine Authorship What does the story of your life say about you? Does it speak of heroic journeys into new and exciting lands of achievement and growth? Or is it an angry and repetitive diatribe against the vagaries of a wantonly malicious universe? Does it sing with finely crafted phrasing and uplifting themes? Or is it plodding, dreary and full of errors, omissions and clichés? Salvation: The Divine Imperative Of the many individuals who were touched through the ministry of Paul while on his second missionary journey, three are specifically mentioned. His first convert was Lydia, a businesswoman; the second was a young lady who had been used and manipulated by her masters so that they could profit financially. But, when she was saved, her masters were offended because their bank account had closed and so they had Paul and Silas taken before the magistrates on false allegations and they were subsequently, beaten and thrown into prison. Let Your Will, Not Mine, Be Done Can I be honest with you? There are days when I just don't feel like getting up in the morning. I'm noticing this a lot lately because the weather is changing and it's pretty cold early in the morning when I awake to start my day. There are days when I move that blanket off of me and quickly snatch it back because it's too cold to get up. I know I HAVE to get up, especially because it's cold and I know I have to turn the heat on so it's warm when the rest of my family gets up to start their day. The F-Word =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Dead Man Walking One of my favorite movies is "The Green Mile". A memorable scene was when the presumably guilty murderer was being brought into the jail and they announced his arrival as "the dead man walking." His sentence was already passed on him even before he was properly accused. As humans, we tend to judge others just by the way they look. Our carnal eyes can only see from the inside out, and are blind to seeing what's on the inside of us! In our own mind's eye, we are blameless, but woe to the other person who doesn't meet our perfect standards. Equal In the Eyes of God There was a time in my life when I seriously wondered whether there was intelligent life on other planets. Unfinished Woman I'm at that place in life many refer to as "the dark night of the soul". My husband and I just finished and moved into our dream home. It was a life long dream come true for me. I thought my life would never be complete without it. Now here I am, one year later and I am going through the classic "what's next" question. I am bored and tremendously unchallenged by my career. And try as I might, I cannot think of another thing that interest or pulls me. I journal, I meditate, I read, I research and I analyze and still no answers come. I feel like I am going around and around the same old rut, the same old song. Why can I not find my passion? What is the matter with me? God! God ! When Bad Things Happen (Part 2) The good that Paul writes about is a commitment of life to the sovereign will of God. It is complete trust in God. It is a conviction that cannot be blurred even by the reality of human suffering. Are You Homeless? Does Your Soul Have a Home? How do you feel when you see homeless people on the street? Many of us feel disgusted when we look at them and others do not even acknowledge their existence as if they're worthless and irrelevant. Some of us even consider them as being nothing but drunks and junkies. We all have different ways of interpreting the lives of these people, but in the end, we all believe that they are less fortunate than ourselves. |
