Smart Dust and Virtual Keyboards
Using Smart Dust which is sprinkled onto a rock it maybe possible to type information into a small computer or PDA very rapidly. This could be quite handy for many things such as; Search and Rescue, Fire Fighting, Civil Air Patrol, Hikers and Mountain Climbers and of course military applications. Think for a second the possibilities for Net Centric Warfare for Special Forces Troops. But how exactly can all this work? Well, simple really, you find a flat rock and spinkle your micro-electro-mechanical "Smart Dust and then put on a set of glasses which has a little clip on lens which has a grid pattern of a key board. Then you move your fingers across the virtual keyboard as if typing onto the rock. It is quite easy to use actually because your eyes see it as if it is real on the rock and the glasses you are wearing interpret each tap onto the pressure sensitive smart dust as a strike. The data is then put into a small computer you wear connected to the glasses by a wire. The data is then sent through a hot or helmet and uploaded directly to the satellite. The possibilities and uses are endless and completely revolutionize the amount of communication gear the soldier, fire jumper, first responder or search and rescue personal have to carry. For those super enthusiasts with everything, including GPS and Satellite Phones, now they can send and receive email. Those with the latest wrist watch communication devices shown by Bill Gates at the CES show can use the system without making noise which could give away their position with thru the use of voice activated software. Indeed, a hunter, soldier or downed military pilot waiting for extraction can send and receive emails via satellite in safety. Think on this. Tunneling Concepts for Advanced Warfare I propose research be done to make unmanned tunneling machines to help in warfare. Today more than ever we see the problems with urban warfare. We have developed great techniques such as aerial unmanned vehicles, robotic mechanisms, devices which see in the dark, through buildings and around corners. We have listening devices, scanners, helicopters and special tactics training with the help of virtual reality, mock buildings and pop-up back guys like an advanced video game on in a practice city block. Acoustic Transducers and Light Waves for VSTOL, a Concept Is it possible to use many acoustic transducers underneath an aircraft in a crisscross fashion to make the air much thicker. Almost like a platform that a VSTOL aircraft using low pressure could use to push off of? Although the amount of energy to be required to do this might be substantial; it seems to be possible. Aerodynamics and Hydrodynamics of the Human Body, Birds, and Boeing The aerodynamics of the human body are very interesting indeed. This may sound somewhat funny, because human beings can't fly, however our desire to fly has enabled us to adapt and innovate to achieve the same purpose. Man has always dreamed of being able to fly like the birds. The aerodynamics of the human body are quite serious in many sports. To confirm this, just at Lance Armstrong in a tour to France. Does the Earth Have Hollow Areas Inside it? Some skeptics of the geology text books we had in school theorize that the Earth maybe hollow. They say; the Earth is probably hollow and since it has had 5.5 billion years to cool down, it probably is not hot any longer in the center and that the effect of gravity has loosened up the center and pulled it outward along with the centripetal force of the Earth's rotation. If it is hollow, what is inside? Is it a vacuum, void of air or does it have it's own atmosphere of gas? What type of gas. Interesting if you are referring to 22% oxygen we have in our atmosphere, if this is your question; yes it is void of what we consider air. You most likely could not breath it or could you? But just because humans cannot breath it does not mean another form of life could. Chimpanzees and Humans a lot in common Those who study chimpanzees are often amazed completely with the abilities of that species. They tend to be able to raise their level of awareness and concentration to a completely higher level than we ever believed. Mankind comes with such feelings of superiority and belief that humans are some divine creation and are superior in every way, yet we are finding we are not as alone as we once thought with regards to intelligence of carbon based bipods. I wish to recommend a book to you, which will help illustrate my points: The Impact of Efficient Epistemologies on Algorithms In recent years, much research has been devoted to the refinement of gigabit switches; nevertheless, few have constructed the synthesis of neural networks. The notion that cryptographers connect with large-scale theory is generally considered appropriate. Similarly, the lack of influence on theory of this discussion has been considered structured. Therefore, probabilistic models and cooperative theory do not necessarily obviate the need for the exploration of interrupts. Hydro-Mini Tsunami-Perpetual Wave Making Machine Let's describe this idea as a Self Generating a Tsunami-Perpetual Wave Pattern Making Machine to Derive Mini-Hydro Power Systems in Rivers. Life Under Mars Ice Shelf? When looking for life on Mars we should be thinking of how life forms on Earth. Not because it will be similar, although it possibly could be, but because we know the things, which inhibit life and the things which help it flourish. This is not to say that life does not exist inside the rocks or under the surface in underground aquifers or that the rocks themselves are not alive, but in all probability we will find the life or remnants of previous life in those places where we find life on Earth which are similar to those places on Mars. That makes sense right? Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Mudslides: Extreme Events - What Do They Mean? In lieu of recent, tumultuous occurrences, people are more compelled than ever to discover the mystery of these modern-day, earth-changing events. TSUNAMI The Next Big Wave:The Grandaddy of Them All A few days ago on Melbourne's 60 Minutes, renowned scientist Dr Kerry Sieh predicted the guaranteed next big wave or giant Tsunami will definitely happen, and it will be the Grandaddy of them all. Aerospace Design Thoughts, The Bionic Man, and The Future of Design Not all aircraft have wings, for instance NASA's Steve Austin Bionic Man series style lifting bodies. Introduction to this thought process can be provided by a quick view of this site; The Best and Worst of April?s Weather If Johannes Kepler, the renowned 17th century astronomer and discoverer of the planetary laws of motion, could speak from the heavenlies, he might have a few words of wisdom to share with the National Weather Service. Although Kepler's name is not normally associated with meteorology, he was quite the weather forecaster in his day. His first claim to fame, by the way, was not due to his discovery of those planetary laws, but because of his accurate long-range weather forecast of the severe winter that put Styermark, Germany on ice in 1593. Big Bang or Lots of Big Fire Crackers? There are many who talk about the Big Bang Theory. Although no one can be sure what went bang? Steven Hawking suggests it does not matter what went bang, because we will never know, so let's think on things we can know. Interesting comments indeed, others suggest you cannot have a big bang without having something that went bang. Therefore they say the big bang theory is hogwash. Still others say God created it all? Yet the critics of that concept say; "Well who created God then?" Launching 400 UAVs from a Transport Plane How to launch hundreds of UAVs for an autonomous mission from a transport plane. As we watched the MOAB parachute bomb drop out of a C-130 onto the desert and above the tunnels below into Afghanistan, it left the world in awe. Now then this parachute concept has another idea. Launching UAVs, hundreds of them in swarms of 25 to 50, to overwhelm the opponent. Many Sci Fi writers have discussed Earthquake predictions Cal Tech along with the Universities in Japan are on the leading edge of this new technology and it is quickly becoming a reality. Soon we will know months in advance of an expected quake and the precise time maybe known hours or minutes before it actually comes. Arthur C. Clarke discussed early Earthquake warnings in CA, in a couple of short essays and stories and then again in a two of his most famous novels. If you will recall the book, "Richter 10;" in this book they could predict the Earthquakes months in advance. 4D Mapping of Mars Will Find Life Let us discuss the mapping of Mars and some thoughts on the matter. We have mapped the Earth by using Satellites and have a complete GIS mapping with complete mineral deposits, underground oil areas, volcanic plumes and even huge natural water aquifers. We have also done this with the US Navy and mapped the entire terrain of the Ocean Floor. At first it was secret and eventually given to scientists and the World. Today we even map the ocean elevations to find gravity anomalies and much of this data helps us with El Nino, weather predictions, ocean-surface temperatures and to learn about gravity effects and variations. UAV Stealth and Radar Energy Capture for Power and Propulsion A Feasible Idea for UAV Flight, Possible Research and Development Test; UAV Stealth and Radar Energy Capture for Power and Propulsion to drive your enemy crazy. How to Build a Mechanical Bullet Which Turns A Mechanical bullet, which will turn in flight is well within our technical capabilities. The premise is to have a bullet, which is preset to turn a corner can be achieved thru a small gear setting on the bullet or a preset finger on the barrel or in the chamber which can be dialed in prior to discharge. Picture a bullet and shell, directly above the shell on near the bottom of the bullet would be a small gear, which could be turned with your finger nail, each gear indentation would be equivalent to approximately 10 yards, written on the bullet shell would be a scale embossed, stamped or laser printed. The soldier would estimate from his night vision goggles, weapon sight or head gear the distance from his position where the turn needed to occur so the bullet would turn. Cord Blood and Its Uses Cord blood is the blood left in the umbilical cord and placenta after the birth of the child and is collected after the cord has been cut off. The umbilical cord is routinely discarded with the placenta after a child is born. It is also called placental blood. Cord blood has lots of blood producing stem cells which can be frozen and later used for transplants. Cord blood is genetically unique to the child and the family. Now researchers have found that it can be used to treat many diseases. |
