See You At Midnight: Strategy For Terrific Speed To Greatness!
The gate of every year is the begining of that year; the gate of every month is the begining of that month; the gate of every week is the begining of that week; the gate of every day is the wee hours (from 12midnight) of that day. Are you presently STRANDED or STAGNANT in your journey in life? It is perhaps because you're locked out by a gate-keeper, from entering into fulfilment and you don't even know. Take this literary tour with me to expose and conquer the forces responsible for your captivity. "...or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man?..." (Matthew 12:29) This liberating scripture was the key that shattered the gate of my mental captivity and opened unto me the gates of fruitful and productive activities. When I heard a wiseman once saying that 'The secrets of men are in their stories'. I quickly took a cue from his wisdom and started to pursue the stories of my heroes and heroines, par chance, I may stumble into the secrets of their greatness. That study took me on a literary tour from June 2001 to April 2002 (11-months!). By the time of my arrival, I had caught the raging fire of success. I went with full vigour to apply my discoveries for total recovery of my tortured and trampled destiny. I came out with a bold declaration that: 'Our negligence to nurture the applicable truths of life is the reason for our torture'. Having fully recovered, now I am poised to deliver that same truth to you through a series of articles on my potent encounter with what I have decided to call the 'Forces of the Gate' or 'Forces of the Midnight Hour'. Take a look at these names and see if they mean anything to you. Jesus Christ; David Yonggi Cho; Kenneth & Gloria Copeland; Kenneth Hagin; Billy Graham; Enoch Adeboye; David Oyedepo; Daniel Olukoya; Bill Gates; Johanne Kathleen Rowling;...the list is by no means exhaustive, but I will only use them, in the course of this serial, as points of references to ratify the stubborn truth of greatness that many of us have been so negligent of, in the past. There is a battle at the 'gate of destiny' that many are unaware of; many even fought this battle unconsciously and still obtained a good result. As I studied the secrets of greatness, I discovered that almost every great man or woman fought this battle and won, some lucky ones even fought it without knowing it. Those who lost this 'battle' ended up as destitutes in life. May you be strengthened with the discovery in these serial to go forward and win your own inescapable battle at the 'gate' of your destiny! Afterall, behind every recovery and delivery are the pillar and floodlight of discovery. I saw in Isaiah 28:6 '...and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.' and I asked : 'Why the battle to the gate?'The answer came involuntarily from my spirit that: 'Only those who win the battle of the gates will conquer the city.' In acient times every city worth its salt was fenced round with walls and gates. Ancient Babylon, Egypt, Israel, etc. were notable examples and not exceptions of these. In our modern times today, while it is a fact that the physical walls have crumbled, the customs and immigration walls are vibrant for all of us who travel regularly out of our respective countries to others, to experience. The stories of the men and women of diverse backgrounds which I listed above showed a sparkling common gold thread of people who kept appointment with the midnight hour mentally and spiritually and were not disappointed. When you wrestle mentally and spiritually at the 'entry point' of any territory or season with the 'gate-keeper' in charge of that territory or season, and you win, you are bound to shine and florish like the morning star. All these men and women of stature, status and stardom are victors of the 'battle of the gates'. In my next article, I would show you what the midnight-battle of the gate means. Unfinished Business (Part 2) We know that David did much to stabilize the Kingdom of Israel. He fought a long series of wars to make Israel secure. He surrounded Israel with client kingdoms that at the very least were peaceful in their foreign relations towards him and Israel's God. But the one thing that David wanted to do more than anything else was to establish a permanent Temple on Mount Zion for the present and future use of the Lord God Almighty. He desired building a house for God where He alone might be honored and worshipped. David did not want to go to his final rest until the house of God was built. But, this hope was to be fulfilled by another, his son Solomon. Penthouse or Basement? The Spiritual Realm is Topsy-Turvy Am I dreaming? The sign outside the skyscraper reads: "Spiritual Realm." Do you think it's acceptable for people to makemillions of dollars selling us and our kids on theidea that pre-marital sex, adultery, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, selfish ambitions, drunkenness andthings of this sort are O.K.? Renee?s Mommy is Here I still remember the scene vividly. I was getting out of my car at the baby-sitter's house and a little boy comes running out the door. The little boys begins to yell - "Renee's Mommy is here!" I remember stopping in my tracks and thinking - "Oh, that is who I am now - Renee's Mommy." My whole identity is now Renee's Mommy - or is it? Pioneering Insanity "They're crazy!" That's what they're saying about us. The majority of the people in America at this time in history do not channel spirits, do not converse with angels or aliens, do not astral project, do not know about any kind of higher vibration, and do not talk about Starseeds, Indigo Children, nor Lightworkers. They don't know anything about ancient secrets being coded into crystals nor about the healing effects of various stones. The only animals they talk to are their pets and they don't actually listen for any kind of a response. They don't talk to dead people. They have no idea what kind of a higher purpose or mission they might have been sent here to do. They have no idea what it is to have a voice from above speak to you and ask you to step out of the normal way of things to do some sort of holy spiritual work that will help guide or save humanity. They just go about their lives having no idea what it is to walk in our shoes. They call us crazy and sometimes it's difficult not to agree with them. Servants of the Antichrist The "Left Behind" series is inspiring, in that it makes people think about serious, life-and-death situations. Yet it tends to assume that, even in the face of disaster, life for fundamentalist American Christians will center around the same values and goals that have dominated their lives up until now. In other words, people will still go to church on Sundays and work in system jobs the rest of the week, right through the Tribulation and all that comes with it. They will still be loaded with money, and they will still jet around the world at will. There is nothing in the book that speaks to the condition of poor Christians. This materialistic philosophy is practised at a time (in the story) when people should be seriously considering whether the values they lived by before the trouble began were really the right ones. Achieving Spiritual Health Spiritual health is generally an overlooked aspect of healing. However, it is actually the ultimate goal of holistic medicine, and leads to a heightened awareness of the Divine Spirit referred to by all religions. It doesn't matter what name you give it. What matters is that you come to know and attune yourself to its guidance in all areas of your daily life. Doing so will reduce your feelings of fear, and provide you with a greater capacity for loving yourself and others unconditionally. It will also help you reconnect to your special talents and gifts so that you can use them to fulfill your life's purpose." Anamchara - Living The Real Life "Is this the real life?Is this just fantasy?Caught in a landslideNo escape from reality." Keeping The Faith Well I had a website that I was posting on but have since decided my writing works should be meant for friends and family .I have been writing articles on and off for awhile now. I used to do it sporadically but then I found it was great therapy and started doing it whenever I felt an ache, such as a heartache .I have changed a lot especially in the past two years. I talk of the past as if it were 20 yrs ago, but I have come such a long way in the past couple of years. I felt the need to elaborate .I feel as if I have lived a lifetime. Two years out of 31, which is now how old I am. The past year has been a major change for me. Why was this past year so much more significant than any of the others? Because I believe that was my year of awakening. The Death of God, the Mission of Modern Psychology, and Me The question, "Is God Dead?", first entered my consciousness when I was ten or eleven years old. I saw it on the cover of a Life magazine, and it's lingered in my mind ever since. At the time, though, I wasn't too concerned with His possible demise. I had pretty much determined that God lived inside each of us. No matter how hard I tried, I hadn't been able to find God in the lukewarm rituals of the Protestant faith. Instinctively, I knew God wasn't dead, He was just hiding within each of us, waiting to be discovered. The Slippery Halls of Perspective. As we walk these halls of Life viewing the world and ourselves through our limited and often times limiting perspectives, who can really fathom the depth of another? Didn't we all at one time believe in Santa Clause? Didn't we all believe at one time, that when we closed our eyes we disappeared? Didn't we all used to believe we were the center of the world? Where did those perspectives go? Are we now sure that we have it 'really right', or are we still clutching at temporary viewpoints and transient opinions, unknowingly defending mirages? Who can really judge who sees clearly? Who can really say who is deluded? Who is really in touch with reality? Perspectives change and for the most part do not belong to us, but rather happen to us. All perspectives are partial, and because they are partial, they are incomplete (even this one). Because they are incomplete they are in a sense, a lie (even this one). A perspective is one particular view point of one particular 'viewer' (person), from one particular space, frozen in one particular moment in time. One moment's perspective is also the next moment's food. But if we are going to share a perspective that is always a partial truth and also a partial lie, can we at least do so while holding the perspective lightly? Can we see through our own limited views, thus freeing ourselves from their limiting nature? Because all perspectives are by nature temporary and partial, can we simultaneously see from and also see through our own opinions, judgements, biases, views or perspectives? Consider: as you lay on your deathbed in your final moments, how important were those perspectives you defended through out your passing life? Where are those perspectives now? The Final Chapter Several months ago, I read an article about a 22 year old, successful young lady who died a premature death in a plane crash. The more I read this article, the heavier my heart became because she died in the midst of her formative years. Equally tear-jerking was the fact that she died before completing a book that she was writing -- before completing her final chapter. Right now, your book is being written -- and you are the author. Every moment that passes, every day that appears and vanishes, your pages are being written. Every word you speak, every action you take -- shapes page after page in your book of life. How you live and how you treat others also shape the pages of your book -- from cover to cover. In retrospect, perhaps the beginning of your book may not have been written well, because of mistakes, or unwise decisions -- but you can finish a bestseller. You can finish a bestseller, because you are the starring character and you, by your present and future actions, control how the final chapters of your book will read. You can finish as the winner by doing the things that you love and not taking your life, or others for granted. Start a new chapter today -- a chapter that will give you and others a delight to read. Enjoy who you are and what you do. Keep writing and live life to the fullest. How does your book read thus far -- and -- what will your FINAL chapter say? Copyright 2002 by Audrina Jones Bunton. I have decided that doing some serious soul searching is in order for me. I have been getting messages so to speak that make me realize I am changing into someone I don't particularly like right now. I feel ashamed and unworthy as a spiritual person and I need this chance to prove my worth not only to my self but to the One who created me. I am making some promises on this day, that I intend to take seriously and to heart, not just to heart though. I need to take this into my soul. Should Christians Drink Alcohol? Tea-totalling Texans? However, it is often used that way, and that's ok too. There is a place for that approach in our lives. They do make a powerful addition to any home's decor, and make a great conversation piece. So, if you are a history buff, especially American history, a kachina collection is most appropiate. Kachinas origionally came from the Hopi and Navajo tribes in the American Southwest. If you enjoy sacred art, like I do, add a kachina to your collection. Abundance As Spiritual Birthright I am going to remind of some simple, yet important things, that you should already know, but perhaps need a reminding of just now. I know that I need reminding from time to time and suspect that you may also need the same 'straight to the point' reminders. |
