Is Your Pursuit of Money Robbing You Of Complete Fulfillment?
Do you think it's acceptable for people to makemillions of dollars selling us and our kids on theidea that pre-marital sex, adultery, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, selfish ambitions, drunkenness andthings of this sort are O.K.? I thought not, but these are the things we are most likely to see on T.V. The new reality show craze is even causing society to take a passive and some times condoning look at sin, while making big bucks in the process. Proverbs 12:14 - There is a way which seemeth rightunto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Let's take a quick look at what sin really is. It isdisobedience to any of the ten commandments of God, itis evil or conspiring thoughts, and it is an offenseagainst someone else. Sin is what separates us fromGod. This is something sinners and people who condonesin never truly understand. Isaiah 59:1-2 Behold, the LORD'S hand is notshortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities haveseparated between you and your God, and your sins havehid his face from you, that he will not hear. God is more likely to listen to the people who obeyHis commandments and keep his word than to people whomake excuses to sin, or condone others who sin. He isalso more likely to hear the complaints of the poorand the oppressed than to the rich and famous. Revelation 3:17 - Because thou sayest, I am rich, andincreased with goods, and have need of nothing; andknowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, andpoor, and blind, and naked: People who make a lot of money and become famous inlife tend to want or expect to be praised for theiraccomplishments and soon get caught up in self worthwith the rest of society. They don't seem tocomprehend the fact that God is the owner and supplierof everything each and everyone of us has or gets.Instead of glorifying and acknowledging God mostpeople tend to want to pat themselves on the back whenreceiving the praises of others. Matthew 6:24 - No man can serve two masters: foreither he will hate the one, and love the other; orelse he will hold to the one, and despise the other.Ye cannot serve God and mammon. In the particular verse above mammon means apersonification of wealth and avarice as an evilspirit, which means there is a certain obsessionyou can have with money that will make it your God. What's more when we get money and fame it becomes easyfor us to distract ourselves from the really importantthings like serving God and helping the needy.Instead, we tend to indulge ourselves in sexualpleasures or expensive purchases, and even more thanusual because it seems like the quick and easy way toget our minds off of our troubles whenever they arise. Every one of us can see that some of the most rich andfamous people in the world are also the most confusedworkers of iniquity. We can also tell that these arethe people that most of us and our kids may tend toidolize because we think they "got it made" by beingso rich and famous. Particularly, entertainers likeactors, rappers, singers and sports stars who wealways see on T.V. But in reality they are lost souls covering theirtroubles with indulgences. It's not wise to want to belike them and we shouldn't condone our kids wanting tobe like them either. I'm not saying its a bad thing to be rich I'm justsaying that money should be the furthest thing fromour minds if we really call ourselves wanting to behappy. Matthew 6:33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God,and his righteousness; and all these things shall beadded unto you. The point is simply this, if you go out of your way toserve and please God (especially threw hard times) Hewill bless you exceedingly and abundantly above andbeyond all that you could ever ask for or even thinkabout. And this is not limited to just money, but also love, health and success just to name a few. The Wisdom of the River: Lessons Learned Over the past few years I have watched the popularity of whitewater rafting grip the vacation market. "Strange", I thought. "Why would floating down a river become such a hotly contested vacation destination?" Today, I understand this phenomena completely. There is a wisdom and lesson that only the river can teach. It is a lesson that I intend to learn as often as possible. Basic Tarot for Beginners If you would like to learn to read tarot cards, but have no idea who to ask to teach you or how to go about it, the following tips should help you get started on your path to telling fortunes just like a pro! Integrating Soul And Science "Spirit is beyond the void of space. This realm, beyond the void, is not an empty nothingness; it is the womb of creation. -- Nature goes to the same place to create a galaxy of stars, a cluster of nebulas, a rain forest, a human body, or a thought... That place is Spirit." (1) 7 Ways to Stay Spiritually Balanced When we find spirituality, or it finds us, the experience feels surreal. We begin to feel like we're walking on a tightrope between two different worlds. We become ungrounded and loose touch with the physical side of life. When our spiritual mission becomes clear, it is even truer. Learning to breathe and to walk between these two experiences until they merge can be a tough balancing act. It's easy to choose and get lost in the new experience because it feels so good and so right. Regular aspects in the physical world seem less important and get set aside, many times incomplete. White Sun - Tao of Heaven. Showers of Wisdom ( Part 2 of 3 ) People rarely live up to a hundred years of age but yet, they carry with them the worries of a thousand years. Within this chaotic and dazzling world, it is only due to ignorance that people have created for themselves. Thousands and tens of thousands of attachments and worries, like cycles within cycles and layers upon layers these attachments and worries have firmly plugged their minds. So tightly plugged that one is nearly suffocated, so densely blocked that it becomes indissoluble. God Versus the Gods Aristotle referred to happiness as the most we can achieve. Demons and gods were interchangeable in the time of Homer when people had far less institutionalized manipulation of their thoughts and soulful understandings. What is the 'anima' referred to by Aristotle and other sages? White Sun - Who Are We? Human beings originally have three forms of existence. The first one in Heaven, the second on Earth and the third in Hell. Hence at any one time our True Selves exist either in Heaven, Earth or Hell. These three existences are similar to water, steam and ice. They are one and the same. On Earth we have forms, that is the human body or any other living beings bodies but in Heaven and Hell, it is formless. He fought a long series of wars to make Israel secure. He surrounded Israel with client kingdoms that at the very least were peaceful in their foreign relations towards him and Israel's God. But the one thing that David wanted to do more than anything else was to establish a permanent Temple on Mount Zion for the present and future use of the Lord God Almighty. He desired building a house for God where He alone might be honored and worshipped. David did not want to go to his final rest until the house of God was built. But, this hope was to be fulfilled by another, his son Solomon. The Greatest Gift (Channelled) Lectio Divina -- Reading the Bible for Spiritual Growth Lectio divina is a very useful and practical discipline for spiritual growth. Rooted in ancient monasticism, the practice is a fourfold cycle: Reading, Meditation, Prayer, and Contemplation. In fact, the term itself means "sacred reading." The Breath of Life The earth is wrapped in a thin, loose shell of gases - which we call the atmosphere. The mix of gases that make up the atmosphere has changed greatly over the eons. Some of us then go in search of our answers by asking people whom we think know more than ourselves for help! We seek guidance from our mediums and psychics, from religions and other groups that we think we might find an answer and in most cases we are still left wondering.
