Augmented Reality and 3D 360-Vision
We need a better vision system for the battlespace; an augmented reality 360-degree 3D device would solve many problems. This device could be very useful in wartime while flying a helicopter and much has been studied and many innovations have occurred with HUD in aviation. Whereas 360-degree informational awareness is of value, even more valuable would be a disassociated informational awareness. If you study Zen and the masters of that level of thought and awareness, one could have complete awareness of 200 meters on any side of a road during ones travels, this of course would be of value if you were walking thru a jungle with lions and tigers which were hungry. It would be equally important to you if you were in heavy traffic on the freeway, crossing an intersection, walking down a dark alley in an inner city, doing patrols in Baghdad or playing a sport. One might liken it to being in the zone. And with new infrared devices, sonar, heat sensors, it is possible to have all this and more thru devices, which interact, interpret and deliver the data to the brain for the user. Thus human-computer component interfaces can make us better at what we do. Now then what if we took all these devices and put them above us as we motivated ourselves within this new 5D environment? Projecting visual imagery from 40 meters above us like a bird's eye view looking down onto the events we are in fact immersed in? This could be done easily with technology such as clear balloons, UAVs, MAVs, SmartDust, Net-Centric Zoom images from Satellite, AWACS or other future device. Much work is being done in the field of aviation and combat Heads Up Displays or HUD; http://worldthinktank.net/wttbbs/index.php?showtopic=47 It might also be done by using a projected beam parallel to the ground or slightly tilted and bouncing other waves off of the artificially created ceiling. (have drawings if this abstract thought causes a lapse in understanding). The waves bouncing off this barrier hit the surface and locate all objects and record information, such as the heat, frequencies associated with and molecular structure of each. All this could be possible with a little re-engineering of our current night vision systems, HUD systems, Virtual Reality goggles and hooking them to a completely computer enhanced brain interface. Randomness Versus Predetermination Science is inherently a series of experiments within closed systems. Although this sounds like a daunting task, it isn't really. There are many new materials, which are used on roadways, which allow for reflection for auto safety. Also many new materials and coatings being used, which absorb heat, radar, sound, etc. A combination of these materials and coatings on the deck of an aircraft carrier would protect it from aerial surveillance UAVs, high altitude blimps and some satellites. Observers in aircraft with less sophisticated electronics would not see it either. Some might think that our technology has not come along this far as of late, but I can assure you such a concept can not only be made possible but deployed in less than six months. That kind of thought might lead us to worship the Ka'aba with a lot more validity. Aerodynamic Changes Need To Be Made In MAVs; Micro Air Autonomous Vehicles Aerodynamic changes need to be made in MAVs. Micro-Air Autonomous vehicles. The simple current DARPA version is okay I suppose, but we need much smaller units and we can add in a few components to make them simpler, increase performance and payloads. I propose that we create a couple of other versions; one would be similar in nature to the picture above. However the body would be a tube, like the exoskeleton of an insect, which can be fat like a bee, thin like a dragon fly or any similar shape in between. The wings would be cellophane and clear similar to the much larger, giant UAVs. The MAV I propose would be under 20 cm in length. It would have centerline thrust like a Cessna Skymaster. The propellers would be in front and back and could change direction, the MAV during this time would most likely want to flip of and roll, but so the wings need to be symmetrical. As it flipped over the trailing edge of the wings interior would be made of a small heavy tube, which would also contain the ion battery material. It would be thinner than the wings spar tube which would be larger and therefore cause proper curvature of the leading edge for maximum lift. That seems to be the usual debate among the over 25,000 books written about just this one lost civilization. As long as people don't integrate all facts they inevitably just come up with theories to fit pet or prevailing concepts. In Gateway to Atlantis, 'The Search for the source of a lost Civilization' we see a far better scholar who is doing the right kind of investigation. Mapping of the ocean bottoms and geological understandings as well as studying glacial deposits and tree rings gives a better picture of history than history books.
