The Simple Plan of Asking and Receiving
The Question God told us in 1John 5:14,15 exactly that. He said that if we ask Him for anything according to His will He'd give it to us. He will always do as he said. We just need to understand a few things before we can have some of the things we think we want -Likea two-year old boy who doesn't understand that the stove-top gets hot when certain buttons are turned on! God will teach us and guide our steps if we obey Him (Psalms 32:8). The Will of God Humans change all the time as they grow or what color the sky is in their life that day. God doesn't. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Everything that He said He'd do He will do! How to ask The story we hear daily about doing more and working harder is really opposite of what God has told us to do. He said just to believe that He'll do as He said would. Believing If He were the person who said that He's give you a hundred dollars you'd expect it. You'd believe it. You'd live your life like it was happening. The action (faith) would be there. Faith is having enough belief in something that there is action. If someone in your neighborhood is baking cookies or is having a barbeque and says that they will give you some if you come over, would you do it? Would you if you're bored and hungry? Would you if they are making the kind of food you eat? Would you if your mouth is watering at the smell of the food? Probably! Faith works the same way really. You know that you can have something. You were told what to do to get it. It's very simple for you to get it. Someone else is doing all the work and all you really need to do is ask and believe. It Really Is That Simple? Sometimes we have to wait for the food to finish cooking before we can eat it but we know it's coming. We're to get ready to eat it. God often helps us get ready to get the desires of our hearts. We have pleasure in Him and He gives us the desires of our hearts (Psalms 37:4). How do we get our pleasure in Him? He's got much more than a hundred dollars for you! The more time you spend with God, the more you'll love Him. In that love you find yourself having a great deal of pleasure. We've all too often been taught that our time and God's time are different. The simple reality is that God is a God of now. Repeatedly He showed us throughout the Bible that it would be done for the person asking if they were ready in faith (Luke 8:48). Faith is having enough belief in something that there is action. Spend the time with God. Read what He has told you He would do. Spend time thinking about it. You'll find yourself growing closer and closer to Him. You'll find yourself believing that what He said is true for you. In that trust, you'll find yourself acting more and more upon what He's told you! You'll be receiving what you've asked for and more!

As she searched for an answer in her sacred books, the place was lit up by a meteor that flared in the dark sky. She put down her book and told him that he had just received his answer. Holy and Unholy Numbers Many of our great religions hold that numbers contain hidden meanings that in turn hold the mysteries of the universe and God within them. Ancient Hebrew mystics referred to this as Gematria. Numbers are also given corresponding associations to various deities, colours, plants, gemstones, and superstitions. Adding to our plight are society's cruel traditions of rewarding mass conformity and mocking original thinkers. This is a new day. Everyone has the right to know the secrets of the universe. Best of all is the stunning news that every person is capable of knowing the most awesome truths and the most loving principles. That includes you. To make the leap from spiritual cry baby to bold seeker of truth requires self examination. In quiet moments you must ask yourself what you really believe. Be willing to tolerate question marks in your search till you find answers that are perfect for you even if it takes years and years. Plunge your mind into the finest ideas ever put on paper. Or spoken to you directly or through various communication media .Or overheard in conversations among strangers. Make it your business to become familiar with the noblest thoughts of any age, any writer or speaker and any culture. No finer hobby could be found than to gather the wisdom of the world around you. There are tons of literature just waiting to be tapped-philosophy, religion, psychology, self-growth, self-realization, higher awareness, to name just a few. Wisdom comes in many flavors, so to speak-poetry, essays, scriptures, drama, comedy, satire. Start with short sayings and work your way up if you can't tackle the big stuff yet. Test all spiritual concepts to see if they work for you. Let's say you've heard of something called the Inner Kingdom. Find out all you can about it, but more importantly make up your mind that if such a glorious kingdom exists, you intend to find it and claim it as your own. Sure, this is scary. Of course, you'll be tempted to give up along the way. You may have to keep on crying to get through it all. Be a tough critic of all you find no matter the glowing reputation or fame of the speaker. Be prepared to discover that popular ideas are wrong more often than right. Teach yourself to know the difference between myth and proof. Inch along, with tiny tasks and timid steps. Finally, turn your search into success. You don't want to be a self-help junkie reading your life away and never lifting your own heart and soul. After investigation comes a time of grace, when you rise above books and arguments. You respect all worthy ideas, learned or lowly, and see how uneducated words of insight ascend to the same literary heaven with equal standing as the thoughts and teachings of spiritual celebrities. You make peace with conflicting scholars, scientists and saviors. Standing atop the knowledge of the ages you add your own voice to the crowd with new words that are your contribution to the eternal quest. What's the payoff? Is it worth all the trouble? After all to succeed means you probably have to spend long periods of time alone to ponder the great issues of life. You have to deal with destiny one-on-one with nobody to hold your hand or go in your place. Truth is the payoff and that may or may not pay the bills or eliminate your worries. Truth is its own fantastic reward. You will know that when you find it. Don't be surprised if you shout, "Hallelujah." A Mothers Journey to Spiritual Surrender I have studied many of the great Religions, Quantum Physics, Mystical Awareness and many forms of Spirituality over the past 17 years. I consider myself a Seeker and a Lightworker. I am also the mother of two children. This is what has defined me for the past 20 or more years. It is a role that I love and a role that has brought deep meaning to my life. As a single mother, my two children are my world.
