In The Beginning Christ!
As I was doing my studies, the Lord put something on my heart that really took me by surprise. He dropped a little bit of revelation knowledge into my mind, and it took me on a great ride. In this Newsletter, I want to share with you what the Lord has showed me. In no way is this a complete study of this subject, yet I do believe that this is a core teaching on the subject, and that the understanding of Christ is deeper then most believe. Let's open this study with Hebrews: 1:1-2: God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, [2] in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. The part that we won't to look at is in verse 2 "He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world." As I was reading this the Lord dropped in my thought that as I said early really shook me. That according to Hebrews, God made the whole world through Jesus. Now that's not that big of a thought, but when God showed me this in the bible that is what God me excited. I believe we all can in a way comprehend this, but what I couldn't comprehend is how this is done. At least according to my time framed thinking. See as I seen it, Jesus was alive about 2000 years ago. So how did he create the whole world? Even with thinking out side of the box, in the spiritual realm I still had trouble. If Jesus was in his spirit form, then he already excited long before 2000 years ago. So how could he of been created on earth? So I always took Hebrews, 1:1-2 as absolute truth, but never really took any serious thought about it. Taking Hebrews 1:1-2 into consideration, lets look at John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] He was in the beginning with God. [3] All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. [4] In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. [5] And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. Here we have a similar scripture as Hebrews but this time we have a little bit more information to the mix. Now we see that the Word was with God, and the Word was God. No doubt that this is Jesus. So Jesus was the Word of God, and created all things. Now we are getting some where, I can see that. But still there is one more thing that it says about Jesus. That In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness. Jesus was the Light that all things were created in. according to Hebrews 1:1-2 and John 1: 1-5. On a spiritual side this is absolutely easy to understand, but how about the physical? This is still the problem with me; Jesus in the spiritual is easy for me to understand, but not the physical, where in the bible does it say that he was ever a physical light and created things? Until the Lord dropped this into me, this is as far as I could get on this subject. They were no real proof of this. Well let's take a look at Genesis 1:1-5 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. [2] And the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. [3] Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. [4] And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. [5] And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. This is the answer to Hebrews, and John. Gen 1; 3 Then God said "Let there be light" I know what you are thinking, Brother Daryl, this was the sunshine. Well that's what I had thoughts for years, and in fact I really didn't even question that scripture at all. But when was the sun and moon created? Genesis 1:16-19 And God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also. [17] And God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, [18] and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. [19] And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day. On day 4, the sun and moon was created. So this means that there was a God given light for the first few days, and it never says that this light has gone away. In fact, Hebrews 1:3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high; We see that Jesus is upholding all things by the word of His power. It is the light of Genesis that we see Jesus in the physical creating all things. In the Light of Jesus all things were created, and in the light of Jesus he is upholding all things today. Not only do we see this light of Jesus in Creation but we also see it in the book of Revelations: Rev. 22:5 And there shall no longer be any night; and they shall not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall illumine them; and they shall reign forever and ever. O Glory to God, how awesome is this. To actually see a scripture come to life. It took a movement of God to show me, but thank God he did. Please, I beg you to study this yourself, and you will see Jesus in his awesome presence in every aspect of God. Remember Jesus is the outshining of God. We could say it like this. The sunlight is the brightness of the Sun; the light that it gives shows its wonder and power. So is the light of the Son, showing Gods glory in his light. Holy Communion: Key to Spiritual Healing Chronically-ill Christians who do not believe in spiritual healing of the sick today should examine their participation in Holy Communion as to why they remain sick. Miracle Worker The power of the Holy Spirit is so profound it is truly a wonder, beyond human intelligence. Let's take a look at what the Bible says about miracles. Look at 1Corinthians 1:20 it says Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified; a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. Now look at verse 31 it says Therefore, as it is written; Let him who boasts boast in the Lord. Politics and Christianity Revelation 20:1-20:10 Calling Some may ask what is a calling and what shall I do when called. Well let's look at the Bible and see what it says. First look at 1Samuel 3:8 it says The Lord called Samuel a third time, and Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, Here I am; you called me. Then Eli realized the Lord was calling the boy. So Eli told Samuel, Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, Samuel! Samuel! Then Samuel said, Speak, for your servant is listening. And the Lord said to Samuel: See, I am about to do something in Israel that will make the ears of everyone who hears of it tingle. Translator Robs Beauty of Words Today we are looking at one of the most beautiful words in the Bible that has been rendered almost meaningless and its power stripped by the translators. Let's begin by taking a look at Heb. 13:22. The Rapture of the Church The Rapture of the Church will be the most startling event to happen in all of human history. Millions will disappear in "the twinkling of an eye." Great confusion and bewilderment will occupy the minds of those left behind. Many explanations for the disappearance of those missing will be entertained. In the meantime the Church will have been "caught up" in the air to appear before the Lord at the "judgment seat of Christ" (2 Cor. 5:10). This will be a judgment of rewards based on the believer's works. It will be a time of great joy for many as they hear the Savior's "Well done, thou good and faithful servant" (Matt. 25:41). For some it will be a time of shame and regret (1 John 2:28). Islamic World Domination The question is not whether terrorism is now a world-wide reality, but why is terrorism happening at all? And, is it possible to thwart the activities of the Islamic extremists? How to Solve a Wonderful Mystery The first issue we must recognize is the way God uses the word Gentile in His Word. The context will usually show you how the words are meant to be used. In addition, the scope of the particular section of a book must be accounted for. Before and after Acts 28:28 there are Gentile believers spoken of in the Bible some are called a wild olive branch while others are called The Church which is His Body, Why? The Kabbalah Kraze! I remember hearing a minister years ago as he quoted Dwight L. Moody. He said, "There are two types of religion in the world: Biblical Christianity...and all the rest." Similarly, another minister I listened to later said, "The only two religions that exist in the world are Christianity and Hinduism...because Hinduism allows each man to find his or her own truth." What Is The Most Important Righteous Requirement Of Gods Law? To live "under the law" is to live under theexpectation of fulfilling God's moral standardsthrough one's own human ability. However, rather thanexperiencing the joy of a clean conscience, wesometimes feel enslaved to legalism and guilt. Resurrection Faith (Part 2) Christ died. This is a historical fact not to be denied. But it is the claim of the apostle Paul that God showed His love for us through Christ dying for sinners; this is interesting. It is interesting because we wonder what was it that encouraged Paul to believe that Jesus' death was for sinners. He could not "see" the love of God at work. Jesus had been stabbed in the back and abandoned by His disciples. His mother and a few women, together with John stood by watching Him die. Near the cross, soldiers gambled. One thief cursed God and man. The other prayed as he died. But who of those around the cross watching Jesus die was suddenly overtaken with a great sense of God's love? Who testified about how much God loved them? The Snake Charmers - Part 1 2 Kings 9:30-9:36. How many her today believe in the existence of, witches, war-locks and sorcerers? If you noticed, my hand was up first. Now were not talking about halloween and spook-s and goblins. witches with bumps on their noses, flying brooms or black cats or anything the like. I'm talking about, Spell Casters and Po-shun Makers and Predictors, Psychics, Mediums, Numerology, Astrology-st, Horoscope Writers, Satan Worshipers, Observers of Times, Diviners believe it or not the world is full of such people, that believe in what their doing. Homo-sexuality and Christianity Romans 1:16-1:32. Can there be a compromise between the two: can a gay person become a christian and still retain a gay life style? It seems that the last twenty years has been a difficult time for Christians and especially ministers. The social impact on ministries has been a large one. There have been many that have tried to get the church to under go a change in its approach to sin. As the Old Year Fades, So Does My Memory Memory is a very tricky thing, at least for me it is. Looking back, over a year's span of activity my memory seems to pick and choose what it remembers. It amazes me not so much what a person remembers but what a person forgets. Lutheran or Catholic Church; Choosing the Religion that is Best for You? Many cities have large Catholic Church presence and well-established Lutheran Churches too. In choosing which church would be best for you, you will have to do some research. There are many differences between the two-churches and their theories and interpretation of literary works. The structures of their hierarchy in their churches is also quite dissimilar. Many of the churches of both established religions have Sunday type school and grade schools. This is not available in all cities but in many it is. For lifetime indoctrination into their realm it pays for them to have such schools. Catholic Voters Need to Rethink Morality If Catholic doctrine calls for the sanctity of all human life, then why is it that church leaders implicitly endorse Republican candidates that are pro-life at the expense of all else. In fact, the sanctity of life doctrine stands directly in opposition to the death penalty as well as abortion. Nevertheless, The Tablet, the official weekly newspaper of the Diocese of Brooklyn, is far more enamored with abortion than the death penalty and our President who executed approximately 30 people as the governor of Texas in 1999. |
