Kudos For Monsanto Company
I applaud Monsanto for their R and D. I would like to meet the head R and D man there and shake his hand for his drive and stick-to-it-ness to find solutions to feed the world. I have seen the animosity towards terminator and GM seeds, but I have also seen children dying of malnutrition and felt sick to my stomach as I knew they would not last more than a year like that. Malaria, or something would get them first. It was a sad day boarding that plane and thinking in 12 hours I would be back in the states and they would be living there and dying of some awful affliction. Not many opportunities there, not very fulfilled human lives really. Some environmentalists, rural farmers are up in arms over the GM seeds and are using smear campaign tactics against Monsanto. There are so many seed companies, which are poised to take the market if Monsanto was to force this product onto a world market when in fact the world market did not desire it. Cargill is no little company and the world is not with out competition for seeds. For Monsanto, GM Terminator seeds are one of their lines of seeds, I see by these public relations attacks and articles out in the world press that Monsanto has a small PR issue ahead. Yet simultaneously from a logical perspective the GM Terminator seeds make so much sense as we need to feed the world more efficiently. Please think on this, people are dying of malnutrition and GM seeds maybe part of the answer, lets work together on this concept. Who knows what we can accomplish with the help of this ongoing research. A Noble Attempt To Bring Peace in Assam United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA), one of the most powerful militant organizations operating in the northeast region is in the limelight again but this time for a better reason. Attempts to initiate talks with the center and the group are in progress. The group was established in 1979 by Paresh Baruah along with his associates. The group aims to establish a Sovereign Socialist Assam. William Seward and the Alaska Purchase Aren't you glad you purchased Alaska? You got a bargain, you know. You purchased it for 2 cents per acre for all 586,000 acres of it. The Gun Control Debate The gun control debate in America is a battle between personal freedom and public safety. For nearly 160 years, there were no limits to the Second Amendment, which guarantees "the right of the people to keep and bear arms." In 1934, however, and especially in the last four decades, Americans have begun to proscribe and debate the extent of that right. The National Firearms Act of 1934 was the first restriction on gun rights in American history. As a result, fully automatic weapons are available only after an extensive background check on the owner. Elliot Spitzer Blows Chunks This is the beginning of the end for the man who would be king. Mr. Elliot Spitzer loses big time and blows chunks. Elliot Spitzer's reputation is wiped out with a single case. One of his most celebrated cases in fact, as a Manhattan jury acquitted Bank of America's Ted Sihpol on 29 of 33 counts over the charges of grand larceny and fraud. He was accused of helping a hedge fund trade Mutual Fund shares after hours (4PM). The remaining accounts became a deadlock jury. He walks scott free since he committed no crimes. Make Plastic Out of Corn Here is an interesting thought; Corn to make Plastic An interesting new way to make plastic from corn has been discovered and will be put into process by big chemical companies, which could further erode the Oil prices. And it is of interest that the companies involved in this process are huge, as big as the oil companies they will compete against. Also of interest is the fact that automakers will have to do some fancy footwork to keep car sales moving in the 2003-2004 time period with zero/zero financing now. People will be upside down in auto loans for a while and no reason to take a huge financial hit by trading in those cars, SUVs and light trucks. Sodomy Sodomy is against the law, yet goes on every day across our nation. The vice of buggery is so pervasive in certain regions of our country that even heterosexuals in our population are a risk of contracting AIDS. The human anatomy was not set up for a homo sapiens male penis to enter the rectum of another male; it is not equipped for that function. In Washington D.C. the vice of buggery is so common in the halls of Congress, that it is nearly impossible to tell who has the moral character to lead. Sodomy is against our laws. If we allow Gay Marriage as they have now in the fourth country in the World; Canada recently, then we must first make sodomy legal. Otherwise male homosexuals will be getting married, but not allowed to practice their favorite vice of buggery. All Extremists Go To Heaven... Dont They Heaven, Hell, or some sort of Purgatory. Monsanto Terminator Seeds How do you feel about Terminator Seeds from Monsanto? I have determined that I am in favor of Terminator Seeds, having seen the complaints against it and the evidence for it. Also to curb the problem of GM seeds over taking the Natural Wild Seeds of rice, wheat, etc. which mankind has adapted too. Now then the debate goes like this. The Wage-Productivity Gap The most damaging factor to our economy today is the Wage-Productivity gap. This refers to the increase in the hourly output of workers vs. the increase in hourly pay. This concept is described quite well in Chapter 6 of economist Ravi Batra's book, "Greenspan's Fraud." Market Impeders and Market Inefficiencies Even the most devout proponents of free marketry and hidden hand theories acknowledge the existence of market failures, market imperfections and inefficiencies in the allocation of economic resources. Some of these are the results of structural problems, others of an accumulation of historical liabilities. But, strikingly, some of the inefficiencies are the direct outcomes of the activities of "non bona fide" market participants. These "players" (individuals, corporations, even larger economic bodies, such as states) act either irrationally or egotistically (too rationally). Monetary Flows, Consumer Debt, Policy, Trade Deficit and Reality America has some monetary issues, which need to be addressed. First consumer debt is at issue; the average consumer is upside down in their cars, over extended on credit card debt and living in a house, which they may have 10-15% equity and probably less with all these new home sales on 2-3% down and all the re-financing to pay off short term debt. Second; lets look at Wal-Mart; You buy a product there, 6% goes to the employee, 10% is profit to the company, 80% goes to re-stock or the cost of goods sold. Of the 80% about 20-25% goes to China. Now then how long will it take at 433 Billion dollars a year for China to have all of our money, leaving no money flow for us to circulate? Well if we keep putting money into our economy, it would take forever, but if we do not then eventually all the money flow will go. The Dawn On The Nile Valley Has Secrets To Tell! (2) Submiting the Criminals to The ICC! Biz Op Marketing and the Federal Trade Commission Many had made mention of the problems of business opportunities in letters to the Federal Trade Commission in the public hearings in 1995, 1997 and 1999. They cited issues with advertising and earnings claims from Biz Op sales people. The FTC launched a sting operations called; "Operation Bizzillions," which stopped a few hundred such operators out of the 80,000 such business opportunities. Thomas Paine / Jefferson Conor MacDari was a Mason but his Masonry deplored the British 'alehouse and tavern denizens'. Jim Shaw and many other top Masons have written as much truth as they know. There are many heads or names in the 'octopus' of Freemasonry and we have only touched upon a few of them including the Bilderbergs. Barrett gives us the beginning of a glimpse into the influence of Masons on the founding of America, albeit a misleading one that he could be excused for not knowing in any one specific instance (such as Paine's Druidic involvement) but when taken together seems to be a 'damage control' exercise of the 'stonewalling' nature. UK Elections on the Horizon With elections on the horizon and Blair looking tired and increasingly defensive, just what is likely outcome of the next election? The New Labour adoption of Tory plans and policies has created an almost parallel party in terms of the Conservatives and Labour. Many people are confused and find it hard to tell them apart. The Labour Party will struggle to retain the loyalties of the staunch labour support it has enjoyed over the decades. The Protocols of Sion #1 There is a lot of debate about who made the Protocols. They lay out a plan for world domination and are attributed to the Sionists and therefore Rothschilds who founded the Illuminati. Perhaps they were made for the Czar to discredit the Rothschilds who had a running feud with the Royal Romanov cousins of their British pals who had allowed Nathan to take control of the British Treasury; on that fateful day that news of the Battle of Waterloo was withheld from the average investor while Nathan took everyone's money. Medicade Scam; Worse than You Think You are not going to believe what is going on in North Western Michigan; Check this scam out, typical health care fraud. There is a $3000 allowance per month if your child is on medicade because the parent is poor. Now some of these people have six kids. So this mental health hospital; all these kids who have health care degrees scour the area to find these kids from poor people and sign them up at the hospital. The hospital is huge. No wonder all these kids who are perfectly healthy are going to the hospital to get checks up. They use up all $3,000 per month for each kid. HMOs want body count, they want to get paid per month per body, so they want to get the people in, and get them out and bill for $3,000.00 Operation Iraqi Freedom, Soldiers and Their Psyche Have you noticed that the when the service men who have been killed in action in this war, that the journalists go harass the families and girlfriends or wives of the fallen soldiers? During these interviews I could not help but notice that the infantry warriors killed had girlfriends or wives who were full figured ethnic woman or young ladies. The inner city kind with the tough attitude; Why is this? I have several ideas why. Here they are: First one is that military bases are in areas that are usually tough neighborhoods, they are near logistical locations with railroad tracks and lots of noise from the base thus richer people do not live near by creating an ethnic type area of population diversity. Notice in any city there is a MLK Blvd. Always near the railroad tracks and is either connected to runs through an industrial area. Near Military bases are always industrial areas for civilian contractors who service the bases needs. Also logistics such as commissary needs, trucking, heavy industrial needs, etc. All this means that the nearest entertainment and release for the soldiers will be right off base nearby and in a rough neighborhood. Thus any person that the warrior meet would be one tough enough to hold her own in the rough neighborhood, such as a sassy full figured women who is local or travels to meet the young studs. Cracking Down on Cigar Counterfeiters In the most rewarding new industries, there is often a convergence of factors that make them lucrative and sustainable. Factors like the emergence of new technologies, a ripening of the consumer market, or a political climate that spawns laws and regulations that give a particular business model oomph can revolutionize an industry. Over the last two decades, the counterfeit cigar industry in the United States saw all three of these factors converge to create the perfect storm of the illicit trades market. It began in the 1960's as the trade of authentic Cuban cigars was banned in the United States. This immediately created a situation in which there was a consumer demand for a product that was all but inaccessible through conventional retail channels. More recently, the explosion of computer and printing technology has allowed for the easy duplication of cigar boxes, labels and seals of authenticity. Finally, the growing popularity of cigars over the last fifteen years has fueled a consumer market that is eager to get its hands on any kind of Cuban cigar possible. In this environment, producing counterfeit cigars is all but the perfect business move. Add to this fact that the punishment in the U.S. for this type of counterfeiting is among the most minimal for illicit, black-market crimes, and the reward seems well worth the risk.Altadis, USA has consistently been a prime target for counterfeiters with the reputation of its ubiquitous cigar lines. Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, and H. Upmann are all among the most notoriously spoofed cigar lines in the United States, and Altadis is beginning a major crackdown. On March 25th, 2005, Altadis, USA was awarded $3.5 million in counterfeiting and trademark infringement against two Florida corporations. The corporations have now been disbanded. In addition to the damages, the counterfeiters were ordered to recall their entire product line including promotional and packaging material and deliver it to Altadis for destruction. The participants in the two corporations are also permanently enjoined from employing graphics that are confusingly similar to trademarks within the Altadis cigar line. The cigar boom of the late 1990's brought with it two major problems - the first was the proliferation of sub-par cigar lines and the second was the increased circulation of counterfeit cigars. Sub-par cigars have, for the most part, been filtered-out with the rapid decline in consumption that occurred between 1997 and 2001. Companies that did not have a strong foundation in quality were forced out of business. Now, it looks like, major corporations are finally stepping up to weed-out the proliferation of counterfeit cigars. In the 2005 United States cigar market, you would be hard-pressed to find someone who would disagree with the fact that there are more higher-quality handmade cigars available at better prices than ever before. To ultimately do serious damage to the counterfeit cigar industry, it will take the efforts of Altadis redoubled and spread all over the globe. But now that the counterfeiters are being taken to task, maybe we can all have the confidence that we get what we pay for. The Federal Trade Commission, reality check Federal Trade Commission Owes Industry and Entrepreneurs an Apology. The Federal Trade Commission's Consumer Protection Division's Franchise Group owes the industry and entrepreneurs an apology for their "Piss Poor Performance" additionally those who run the division need to be fired and forfeit their pensions. The problem stems from a grandstanding approach to enforcement and willingness to lie and self aggrandize themselves in cases. Filing false cases often in secret courts, using bad profiling and with coax'ed declarations purporting fraud. This is not opinion as I have proof positive of their abuses of power. How can we allow the Federal Trade Commission to go against the "truth, justice and American way" that they have sworn to uphold? I realize that the entire Federal Trade Commission is considered a "bunch of whores" by industry as they attack corporations to "get fees" often at the request of weaker, poor performing insider competitors at the request of their attorneys. |
