Spring Cleanup
The junk I'm talking about is the stuff that we keep stored up inside ourselves. It's the excess baggage in our lives that tends to weigh us down and serves no purpose. This heavy load dims our spirits and dims the light within us. These things more specifically are known as Doubt, Fear, Unforgiveness, Anxiety, Pride, Rebellion, Hatred, Double-Mindedness, you get the idea, the things that keep us held in bondage. It seems a waste to keep all this extra baggage hanging around when it was already bought and paid for. Not only that, it has already been redeemed as new. God said He would trade us this useless junk with a far more valuable treasure, which is Eternal Life through His Son Jesus Christ. "He who did not withold or spare (even) His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all (other) things?" Rom. 8:32 (Amplified) Wow, this is God's promise that whatever you ask of Him according to His will, He will not withold anything from you. He will give you His grace, His mercy and once you have experienced that kind of freedom, you will never go back to the way you once were. It should be our goal in our Christian walk to become disciples, true followers of Christ. But this can not be accomplished if we are walking around with all this extra baggage that only slows us down. Jesus told His disciples to deny themselves, take up their cross and conform to His example. (Matt. 16:24) Think about that, what kind of example would Jesus have been if He had walked around heavy in spirit and heavy in heart? He came as the Way, the Truth and the Life. All of these things represent FREEDOM from our burdens. "Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down, but an encouraging word makes it glad." Prov. 12:25 (Amplified) It's no secret that anxiety or any of those other burdens mentioned will weigh a person down. True happiness and encouragement comes from God. "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life." Prov. 13:12 (Amplified) All this means is, without hope your life will be lost, and no hope is a life without God, but once He enters in, He will give you a new life, an eternal one. These are but a couple verses that warn us of carrying around these heavy loads on our own and also what will be the result if we give them to God. He has given us the opportunity to unload this stuff on Him so we can be light on our feet. "Little children, you are of God (you belong to Him) and have (already) defeated and overcome them (the agents of the antichrist), because He who lives in you, is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world." 1 Jn. 4:14 (Amplified) This means that once God is in you, there is nothing you can't accomplish. When Christ uttered these words, "It is finished" He didn't mean His life here on this earth, but that it was now the beginning of you and me. He finished all our debts, He paid for them and defeated the enemy who has tried to get his claws in us since Adam and Eve. Jesus finished what we ourselves could never pay for, it was a done deal! Why then do we still hang onto the very things that He already paid for? Christ has given us all a personal invitation which is: "For My yoke is wholesome, useful, good-not harsh, hard, sharp or pressing, but comfortable, gracious and pleasant, and My burden is light and easy to be borne." Matt. 11:30 (Amplified) God's grace is not meant for us to merely "put up" with these unwanted burdens, on the contrary, His grace is meant to clean out all our excess baggage and haul it away! The Lord does not tolerate compromise, He wants us to arise. "I can do ALL things through Christ, Who strengthens me." Phil. 4:13. This doesn't say "some" things, it says "ALL" things can be done when Christ takes our yoke of heavy burdens, because we are now free. This should be a good initiative to hand it all over once and for all. God intended for us to have dominion over the earth, not for the earth to have dominion over us. What better time than right now to start cleaning out the useless, heavy, toxic garbage. We were given the power and authority through the blood of Christ to declare the anointing and blessings from God and also to receive them! If you are heavy laden with garbage of the soul, ask the Lord to forgive you because you have sinned. Sinning is a heavy weight to carry. Give it to Jesus because He shed His blood at Calvary and already paid for it. When you invite Christ to come into your life and ask sincerely, you will feel that weight being lifted off of you immediately. This is one area where God moves speedily. He is always on time, but when we repent, His timing is in sync with ours because He knows our needs and wants us to come to Him in humbleness. The power of Jesus Christ that is within you is greater than the pressure of all the troubles that surround you. Anger in Your Energy Field Many consider anger a normal human emotion and continue to allow themselves to be seduced by it. Undercover Investigation It is important and necessary that we regularly spend time in purposeful self-examination. We need to take the time to examine our rationales, our pretenses, our masquerades, our motives, our justifications, and our reasoning. Your Gift and Talent is Not for YOU! Although your creative ability and talent is something that God has given TO you, it's primary purpose is not meant FOR YOU only. God's purpose for your gift is to be a benefit or solution for someone else who needs it. What this means to you as an artist is that the pursuit and development of your talent is important because there is someone out there who needs what you can do. God foresaw to equip you with the gift and talent that you have because He also foresaw how He needed it used to benefit others. Solitons and Wavelets Everything in the entire universe, big and small, visible and invisible, is composed of energy. A Dozen Facts of Life 1. Life is a precious gift given to us by the God. Trust is Prosperity A while back the Lord had given me this message which has prompted me to study it further and find out just what He meant. He told me, "Trust is Prosperity". Somehow I felt His love surround me and I wasn't quite sure what He meant, but I knew that my trust in Him would prosper me in ways I had not even thought about, not just financial. Prosperity engulfs many things, both physical and spiritual. It could be our health, our attitudes, the condition of our spiritual life, and somehow I think the financial end of it is on the far end of this prosperity. I realize that first we must be spiritualy whole before the material prosperity ever enters in to the picture. Where is Your Focus? I have a long-term goal--a life-long goal really--to develop the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16). I want to think His thoughts, to share His attitudes, and to see the world and its people as He saw them, as He sees them. Belief, Designed For Life! Liam says to Joe; "where is your God now, when life can be made in a laboratory"? Love, Honor, and Obey Let's take a look at all these aspects. The bible speaks a great deal about loving, honoring, and obeying the Father. God, the Father off all creation, loves us so much, that he sent his only begotten son to save us from our sins. We have all heard this, but, "Do we love God enough to give him our all?" "Do we love him enough", to weather any storm and rely on Him for everything that we need. "Do, we show this to other people?"; I hope that we do. God, wants us to show him how much we love him. He, wants us to love him enough to worship him in everything that we do. Unfortunately, to many times we get caught up in our own personal problems, and forget that God is in control of the situation. We have all done this, but when we do this, it shows that we are not relying on God to take care of us. We try and do things our own way, with our own might. The bible says, "Greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world". This is a very powerful statement, and a proclamation of God's sovereign power. To think, that he loves us so much, that He took all our sins and forgive them through His grace. Do we, as christians, have this kind of LOVE? Can we honestly say, that no matter what happens, "WE WILL LOVE HIM!" That, no matter what comes against us, we will stand firm in our faith, and love for God. This is not an option, we must always love Him and pray for His help. Are You Homeless? Does Your Soul Have a Home? How do you feel when you see homeless people on the street? Many of us feel disgusted when we look at them and others do not even acknowledge their existence as if they're worthless and irrelevant. Some of us even consider them as being nothing but drunks and junkies. We all have different ways of interpreting the lives of these people, but in the end, we all believe that they are less fortunate than ourselves. Leaving Storyville One of the most difficult barriers to overcome on the path to spiritual growth is extracting yourself from the tenacious grip of the Ego Story. Unsuspectingly, many people are mesmerized and possessed by this mental illusion. Possessed like some demon possesses a poor, hapless soul. They are ignorant of their ignorance. They do not realize they are separate. They believe that they are the Story. Actualizing Personal Truth Self-actualization comes down to three basic premises: this is who I am, this is what I believe and the foundation on which my life is built, and this is the way I manifest that belief system on a daily basis. Shallow Victories How many of you out there have ever wondered if a life of faith is worth it? Don't shy away from me, because you know there have been instances in your life when the bad guys won. The world is not fair, and the concept that good always triumphs can seem like fiction when you look around and see deceit running rampant. This fallen world shows its imperfections in countless ways, and every once in a while you're going to fall prey to it. |
