Hurricane and Typhoons Show Drop in Ozone Levels
A recent study, which was conducted by the Florida State University, showed that ozone levels drop as the Hurricanes get bigger. The NASA funded study looked at readings in the upper atmosphere of 12 storms. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Hurricane Center (NHC) which forecasts Hurricanes uses the eye to pin point the Hurricanes position and with that data a hundred mile radius was taken and the ozone was measured. Ozone keeps out harmful sun rays know to cause cancer. When it is in the lower atmosphere we consider it pollution, as it is harmful to breath. The study showed a strong relationship with regards to ozone, air pressure and spin of hurricanes. I propose we find a way to steer these Hurricanes over diseased areas of the ocean, such as algae blooms, because it appears the Hurricanes, suck down the upper atmosphere ozone. By doing so the ozone would be forced to the surface and kill the red tides, which kill sea life and cause dead zones. First however we must study more to find out how concentrated the ozone becomes as it is sucked into the storms system and where it goes. Once we know that we maybe able to use this incredible force of nature to take care of this looming problem of the algae blooms and red tides? It might be possible, one never knows. Within this next decade we will be able to control Hurricanes and Typhoons in order to slightly alter their course to avoid large cities from direct hits and in doing so we may learn what other great things we can do to help other problems which plague our oceans by using the Hurricanes and Typhoons power as a friendly source of raw energy instead of destructive force which threatens our civilizations existence? Big Bang or Lots of Big Fire Crackers? There are many who talk about the Big Bang Theory. Although no one can be sure what went bang? Steven Hawking suggests it does not matter what went bang, because we will never know, so let's think on things we can know. Interesting comments indeed, others suggest you cannot have a big bang without having something that went bang. Therefore they say the big bang theory is hogwash. Still others say God created it all? Yet the critics of that concept say; "Well who created God then?" Three Types of Telescopes - What are the Advantages Refractors, Newtonian reflectors and Catadioptricsare the three main types of telescopes. All thesedifferent types have the same purpose, but eachtelescope design does it differently. Collectinglight and bringing it to point of focus so it can bemagnified and examined with an eyepiece is theirgoal. Increasing Lightening Storm Intensity and Direction Control of Strikes Using four UAVs in formation with one C-130 Hercules Aircraft or 747 with onboard laser: Moon Rover Robotic Concept; Planetary Exploration I propose a beach ball hopping robotic planetary explorer, which could work in swarms, instead of a larger rover, which might be stuck in the lunar dust or red sands of Mars. One interesting concept is in a white paper by Paolo Fiorini entitled; "A Hopping Robot for Planetary Exploration" in which the robot has several design configurations all weighing considerable amount. Institute of Noetic Sciences The possibility of sentient beings on earlier solar systems said to be many billions of years older than our own, developing travel and transposition of some teleportational nature seems one of the most stable and down to earth possibilities when we consider these spheres. Other ideas flit through our mind as we imagineer the conscious wisdom of refined metallurgical objects beyond mere silica microchips and revisit what Dr Robins termed the megaliths - macrochips. What is the operating system they are part and parcel of? Is the old Gaian theory of the earth far removed from a universal entity that would have implants in the earth to form greater contact? The manganese nodules occur naturally but what difference does that make when one is thinking about evolving layers of consciously connected matter guided by dimensional force entities of non-corporeal nature? That kind of thought might lead us to worship the Ka'aba with a lot more validity. UAV Acoustic Apparatus for Insect Swarming Stimulus, part one Can we coax warms of Locusts to attack our enemies? It appears we can do this by way of directional sound stimulus. Disrupting the enemy by guiding mass Locust Swarms towards communication posts, radar facilities, SAM Sites, Command and Control Stations, logistical sites, Major Infrastructures using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles equipped with sound devices which are typically used in agriculture in replacement of pesticides. Ocean Polymer Goo to Stop Enemy Ships, a Concept Naval blockade using polymer goo to stop fleeing ships might be possible. In this concept we will use the goo to stick to the bottom of the opposing navy's vessels. Is operation; "Salad Bowl" a secret weapon? No, blockades have been going on since warships have been used. It is merely another tactic in the arsenal as the modern use of blockades moves forward. Currently we are opposed by an enemy, which is running out of ways to attack us and therefore is looking desperately for new ways to disrupt our flows. This of course will not work long term, but as they try and fight the inevitable to the end and as that end draws nearer we are seeing thru their underground correspondence and call to action, such directions as attacking our ports, harbors, pipelines and supply chains. We know our enemy and we know they know about construction, shipping, oil and are involved in high finance, thus as we saw inn the 9-11 attacks use of such knowledge using a non-linear approach. The Joy of Recycling I have always been an advocate of recycling. Even though I am not always convinced of its financial viability, I am thoroughly convinced of its value as a means of increasing public awareness of the cost of our consumerism. In the 20+ years I have been in the organizing profession, I have never heard anyone complain that their problem in getting organized was that they didn't have enough "stuff." We Have Come Along Way in Our Exploitation of Transportation We sure have come along way since the horse and buggy or the first Model T that left the assembly line. We have attempted to build unbelievable transportation items and prototypes for instance; the Spouse Goose, jet powered bullet trains, under water autonomous vehicles and those X-Planes. Speaking of which if you have been to all the aviation and space museums you would have to be impressed with what we have achieved so far in air transportation, but we cannot stop here. Joint projects with NASA, US Military, DOT R and D and private corporations have built and tested many fascinating prototypes. Positive Effects of Carbon Dioxide for Plant Growth Many articles have been written about the negative effects of carbon dioxide. Sick Building Syndrome, loss of concentration due to high levels of carbon dioxide, asphyxiation in breweries or wine cellars, all these things spring to mind when we hear the magic phrase carbon dioxide. Yet, perhaps today when Venus passes across the face of the Sun, we should remember that our original atmosphere consisted of nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Free oxygen is something that is not really chemically possible. Yet we have it as a result of plant life busily photosynthesising and converting carbon dioxide into oxygen during daylight hours. This is the original use of solar energy! Environmental Eco-Terrorists Must Be Stopped Eco-terrorists assume some how they are helping the environment, by causing news worthy events and starting forest fires or burning down developments. Yet in doing so they cause air pollution and kill animals. This type of energy they are exhibiting causing harm is bad. This level of high energy could be good energy and used in positive ways. America needs high energy from people to get stuff done and maintain the flows of our civilization, but these eco-terrorists are so misguided that it is upsetting the balance of things. They are doing more than terrorizing, more than polluting, they are tearing apart the fiber of America and causing a rift between smart environmental considerations and conservative movement. They must be stopped. Lighter Than Air Tubular Flight I propose a lighter than air tubular unmanned mini blimp be designed. Such a craft would have many great applications. A flying UAV tube balloon snake for unlimited range and hang time for surveillance and communication, could use the fluid dynamic theories of a siphon to propel itself around and stay aloft at designated pre-determined way points. (have drawings). Droughts and Salt Water Canals Random Thoughts We need solutions to our drought crisis in this country. There are simple but expensive solutions; for instance; Desalination, salt water rivers and conservation strategies. Now before you accusing me of hyping any of the newest technologies or try to tell me it costs too much, let me explain something about the Earth's water supply. Only 3% of the Earth's Water is fresh. This includes the water and moisture in the clouds, underground reservoirs, rivers, lakes, streams and pipelines. So if we keep increasing the population of mammals we will need to have a larger supply of fresh water. The oceans are full and the atmosphere converts this to fresh water and then it rains and we collect it. So far we end up flooding areas when we make it rain or we fail. We use up all the fresh water in the waterways, which pass through our cities and we waste the rest on things that are not important unless you love what Tiger Woods does. People say it will cost too much to take water from the ocean where 70 percent of our population lives and turn it into fresh water to serve that population's growing needs. Well I say it does not cost that much at all. Water generally and it depends where you live in the US, costs about $ 1.60-2.10 per 743 gallons, (a unit of water) do not ask me about our system of measurement I am still trying to figure out how much a fathom, knot, bushel or pint is. Apparently the scientists have not figured out the difference between a yard and a meter either judging by the crash of the last Mars Probe a few years back, even though I do not believe it actually crashed. Controls - The Building Blocks of Automation As man learns to make machines that no longer rely on animal or human power, he finds that he has to develop some means to manage and control them. Powerful machines let loosed by themselves will create havoc and destruction. Smart Dust and Virtual Keyboards Using Smart Dust which is sprinkled onto a rock it maybe possible to type information into a small computer or PDA very rapidly. This could be quite handy for many things such as; Search and Rescue, Fire Fighting, Civil Air Patrol, Hikers and Mountain Climbers and of course military applications. Think for a second the possibilities for Net Centric Warfare for Special Forces Troops. But how exactly can all this work? Well, simple really, you find a flat rock and spinkle your micro-electro-mechanical "Smart Dust and then put on a set of glasses which has a little clip on lens which has a grid pattern of a key board. Then you move your fingers across the virtual keyboard as if typing onto the rock. It is quite easy to use actually because your eyes see it as if it is real on the rock and the glasses you are wearing interpret each tap onto the pressure sensitive smart dust as a strike. The data is then put into a small computer you wear connected to the glasses by a wire. The data is then sent through a hot or helmet and uploaded directly to the satellite. DNA Profiling: Its Uses In Court DNA Profiling and Its Uses in Court Locusts To Help Make Energy From Bio Waste, part II If we take the menace, nuisance and destructive Locust, we can create a win/win situation by and allowing it to survive and happily eat our bio-waste filling up our dumps. Then as it progresses and digests the food it will create energy. If we control the rate of reproduction then everyone in the food chain wins. The locusts also make a very healthy dietary supplement, which through genetic evolution our human bodies are indeed capable of eating, thus providing us with additional high protein kick for our brains, which have also evolved to need more protein. In Arab cultures without eating hooved animals their diets are often lacking that protein and therefore more apt to succumb to radical religious indoctrination. Years of Locusts plagues and swarms offer a chance to increase that much needed protein content and bring more folks there into mainstream moderate personal belief systems. By doing this it will be much easier to get along in the world without turning over their brains to a Cleric, turning to Jihad against their first world neighbors. The answer may be to: eat more locusts. Global Dumbing? I am beginning to wonder if scientists have been getting it all wrong. All this time, people have been worried about the Ozone, or a giant asteroid, or some breakout of a bio-hazardous agent by a terrorist organization being the doom of mankind. We have spent all this time looking outward instead of inward towards ourselves. A Case for Human Machine Visual Interface Animation of personified reality is intriguing, memorable and interesting as well. Perhaps we ought to remember this when letting kids watch cartoons of attacking counter parts? Or maybe this is a good way to help them better understand the Machiavellian characteristics of the species before they enter the real world, where everything is not so warm and fuzzy. What are the Biggest Solar Projects? Solar power will be necessary for space exploration and off planet colonies on the moon and Mars in the next few decades and our advances here on Earth will assist us with the knowledge we need to power them up. Some may not realize but we have come a long way in our solar technology in the last few decades and we are now ready to take this experience and knowledge to the next level; to build something out of this world. The future is now and the recent past proves we are up for this challenge. |
