Jesus as a Philosopher
Why does every one believe that Jesus is the son of God? That sounds completely silly indeed. The Bible has some interesting literary concepts and ideas worthy of mention and Jesus is said to have said some really philosophical things on the Sermon on the Mound. Why can't we just leave it at that? Jesus makes for a great historical philosopher in mankind's recent history only 2000 years ago. Not very long ago seeing as modern man from fossil records appears to over 160,000 years old, maybe older, although we do not have proof yet. The Bible much like the works of Shakespeare is a wonderful literary work, which one living in nearly any period could use as an "Information Manual" to help guide them during their life experience. It is a bit confusing and very ambiguous, yet seems to have some darn good advice in some places. A person who wishes to spend their life experience deciphering such works as Shakespeare or the Bible should do so in an academic setting and probably not as part of any Organized Religion. Organized Religion seems to interpret such a work in a way which best suits there motives and not necessarily in your best interest; this is obvious on simple observation. My question to you is why do you bother to participate. It seems rather silly to take all the good ideas and concepts in the Bible and argue over it and divide into sects or various religions, as it leads us to fight over the means. The whole of Christianity has become embroiled in controversy and divided. Why would humans do that? Why destroy the excellent concepts, which have been handed down thru the ages in this work? It is unfortunate to ruin all we have been given in that regard by the great character in history; Jesus the philosopher. Why can't we just leave it at that and work on the forward progression of mankind? To be awakened to the realization of one's True Self is wisdom. A person becomes awakened when he realizes that his True Nature is that of God. He longs for returning to God's kingdom and dedicates this to practise Tao. He makes sure that whatever he says, acts and thinks are faultless. He maintains tranquillity in his sensual organs. He gives convenience to others. He makes no distinction between himself and others. He conveys the truth to others so that all including himself can return to the Land of Bliss, Heaven. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. Look at Matthew 7:15 it says Watch out for false prophets. They come to you sheep 's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. The Occult "Christianity posits the realization of human freedom not here on earth but only in the Kingdom of Heaven." (1) Fukayama tells us, and it seems to me he is interpreting what the dogma says; even though it fits his own slave and master concept taken by his evil predecessors. Right as he may be about Christianity, he is not right about the teaching of Jesus. Well, what good is there in such a belief system? It encourages no growth or potential for freedom while you are alive. It gives no insight to actual knowing of what exists hereafter, except through faith in someone telling you what is right. How can anyone accept such utter hogwash? Are we to be enslaved to such a cosmogony while alive? God grows too, and he would be dead if he didn't. All things around us in nature say change is a good thing.
