Motivate To Activate A Positive Lifestyle
What do you do when things in your life don't turn out to your satisfaction? What do you do when your goal-setting plans go astray, or when you expect something special in your life to happen and it just doesn't work out? What happens to you when you have a major financial crisis, a serious health problem, a family problem or anything that suddenly disrupts your whole life? Do you give up? Throw in the towel? Or do you say, "I knew things wouldn't work out I'lljust give up. I Hope this is not what happens to you! That is Not "The Cure" No! No! No! Don't let a little temporary failure get you down.Never give up. This is the time to develop a positive mindset to ward off those negative feelings. Hurry!! Get some positive input before you DIE OUT ... FIZZLE OUT ... LOSE FAITH. Quick!! Get rid of that "STINKIN THINKIN" (the phrase that the famous Zig Ziglar uses) before it gets so bad that you can't stand it any longer. OK! So what do you do now? What's the answer to your problem? Here's what I recommend you do when you have been dealt with any disappointments or major challenges in your life. (1) STOP!! What you are doing immediately. (2) Find a place to relax. Sit back in your favoritelounge chair or lie down in your bed or couch. If youare in your car pull off the road and find a quietplace to park. (3) Close your eyes. Do not think of anything negative. Infact, empty your mind of any negative thoughts that youhave right now. (It may not be easy but try hard anyway)And most importantly, put that recent failure completelyout of your mind. (4) Now, picture in your mind the last time you had the mostpleasurable successes and/or positive experiencesin your Life For example: * You won a big contest. * You had the largest sales figure in your company. * You got a company promotion you had been strivingfor years * You won a two-week cruise package. * You had a dramatic increase in your investment * You solved a serious problem in your life you've had fora long time. (5) OK. Now make this picture as vivid as possible. Give itcolor, texture, motion, the excitement it generated atthe time. Do whatever gives you the most vivid pictureof it. (6) Think. What did you do before to make this success sucha joyous experience? Did you cause it to happen or didsomeone else help contribute to the pleasantexperience? If you caused it, exactly what did you doto make it come about? If someone else helped to makeit happen, what did he or she do to help you make itrealty? (7) Finally dwell on these thoughts for a few minutes andsee if you can apply any positive action to the goal orsituation in your life that just failed. Do you see a positive solution now? Will this exercise help you find the "cure all" for your "stinkin thinkin" in the future?. Do you see what I'm trying to get you to do here? I want you to get some views of positive past experiences in your life. This will help you set up a strong determination so that nothing will prevent you from ever achieving the goals you so desperately want for yourself. You see one of the biggest problems people face is that they are surrounded by all kinds of negative imput from other people, the news media, challenges that occur periodically, disappointments and a host of other things that happen to you daily. So what's the solution? You have to counteract by taking control of what goes into your mind. You don't want negative imput to get you off track for achieving goals and handling challenges. You need to spent at least 30 minutes a day (preferably in the morning) flooding your mind with positive messages you find on CD's, Audio's, Video's in Books. By applying a simple 8 step formula you'll be able to create a "Sunny Day" in your mind everyday no matter what the weather is outside. Creating Positive Environments, Part 1: Using Art One of our most active senses is sight. What we see can affect our outlook and attitude by how its counterpart, our brain, perceives visual information that it filters through its memory banks. You can improve the odds and therefore your attitude and outlook by creating environments that are viewed as positive. Here, in part one, the positive effects of using art will be explored. Choose Wisely During these times of uncertainty in the outside world, look inside your self. Are you feeling uncertain? Are there new energies happening in your life? Are there new feelings and paths of direction to choose from? Have you been listening to your inner sense of self? Short Cut to Self-Confidence: Say Yes to You! You are the only one that can give confidence to yourself. I've learned this over many years of looking for recognition in all the wrong places, from other people. Like it or not some people in our lives don't want us to succeed, and they can be the ones you closest to you. When Things Go Wrong As They Sometimes Will... Dont Get Your Knickers In A Twist! In frustration it's easy to jump to false conclusions that life is out to get you. Wrong assumptions will invariably lead you to wrong conclusions. And, it is ridiculous to think that our limited experiences are reflective of life in general. When the struggles begin, it's time for a reality check. Mindfulness: Youre Soaking In It! Looking for a bit more mindfulness in your daily life? Relax. You're soaking in it! Financial Abundance And Peace Of Mind Are One! There are only two emotions we can experience; love or fear. It should be obvious to you that any emotion based on love is positive while any emotion based on fear is negative. Examples of love based emotions are feelings such as forgiveness, hope, charity, compassion, calmness, and peace. Examples of fear based emotions are feelings such as anger, depression, hopelessness, and worry. What most people simply don't understand is that they can consciously decide to experience the world from a perspective of love or fear; they don't have to experience fearful perceptions projected about them throughout the day. Thinking About Attitude Attitude, has a way of preening itself, often without awareness of the individual. A posture, a stance, a belief, attitude bestows identify upon us as naturally as air gives life. It is as imperceptible and comes upon us without our knowledge, weaving within the framework of our personality. Life Is Not Always Fair I once heard the story of a grown bear that lived in a cage and traveled with a circus ever since he was a small cub. The bear spent everyday of his life pacing back and forth in his cage while countless spectators looked on. When the bear's keepers were not looking some of the spectators would poke the bear with sharp sticks or would throw pieces of food filled with broken glass into the cage. When the great bear would eat what he thought was a wonderful treat, the broken glass would cut the inside of his throat and stomach. Negative vs Positive: The Ever-existing Battle In Your Mind WE ARE ALL THINKING ALL OF THE TIME. Time To Give Up Resentment Resentment isn't a spectacular emotion, but it is long-lasting and it easily becomes a way of life. When this happens, it blocks all possibility of successful and healthy relationships. Peak Performance Peak Performance. It means being at the top of your game, feeling supremely confident, feeling like everything you do is effortless and acheives its goal, feeling resilient and detached from the outcome, being in the flow, being in the zone, feeling relaxed, feeling happy and joyful, having a sense of clarity and certainty about everything that you do, feeling a sense of fullness in your life, indeed feeling fulfilled. Dealing with Criticism and Rejection Whether it's the other kids making fun of you at school, you just received a really harsh performance evaluation from your boss, you got turned down by the girl you asked out, or you didn't get the job you interviewed for, rejection and criticism hurts. I won't tell you not to take it personally, because it is personal. You are the one who was criticized. You are the one who was rejected. No matter how much self-confidence you have a part of you cringes every time someone rejects you or criticizes you. You are the one who has to get rid of that awful feeling in the pit of your stomach. What do you do to make yourself feel better? 10 Tips to Cope with Negative Emotions at Work It's a fact of life - if you want to succeed in business, you need to know how to interact and communicate effectively with your employees, business partners, vendors, prospects, and customers. As a small business owner, this might involve rapid shifting from one type of language to another. For example, how you'd explain your expectations to your employees might be different than how you'd convey these to your business partner or potential client. Enlarge Your Vision Millions struggle through life barely earning enough to survive. Many are trapped in a job they hate, but are making just enough that they think they can't afford to start at the bottom in something else. They go through the motions at work, spend a frustrating time stuck in traffic getting home, and are too exhausted to have a pleasant conversation with their family. Questions and Affirmations - The Art (and Science) Of Talking To Yourself I Hear Voices? Change Your Attitude from a Whiner to a Winner Who are the Whiners? Whiners are the people who always seem to have those hard-luck stories whether it pertains to their relationships, money, or health. You'll notice that even if they resolve one of their frustrating issues, they will immediately have another one to take its place. Are they really having a bad life, or just a bad attitude? The Trouble with the Mind Bernard always had a problem with money. Reframing Rejection So people will reject us no matter how good we look, no matterhow successful we are, and no matter how giving we are. If wewere to become even nicer, and even more spiritually aware theywould still reject us so it is a pointless battle trying to winover everyone. Living in the Moment This week's wisdom is on the power of living in the moment. That ability we all have to be present...allowing all this moment offers us, and all we have to offer it. Years ago, I used to be a very future-oriented and forward-thinking person. Always saying to myself and others, "Tomorrow's gonna' be so much better than today...I can't wait!" - While not even realizing that first, I wasn't even dealing with the realities of what I needed to face in the present - not enough money, not loving my work, looking for others to validate my level of excitement...and a host of other externally validating needs that I had at the time. The Gift of Envy The summer I was 20 years old, I worked as a maid at the Sahara Tahoe Hotel and Casino. My uniform consisted of an orange-and-blue plaid smock like those worn by pretzel vendors at major league football games. The smock was matched with a pair of dark blue polyester pants with a thick elastic waistband and crotch that hung to mid-thigh. It was a uniform custom fit for pregnant maids, or maids with extremely short legs. I was neither. |
