Thinking Your Way To Success: Materializing Your Goals Through The Power of Thought
THOUGHTS are powerful. The power of THOUGHTS cannot be underestimated. What we believe is what we create in our lives. The more we think about something, the more we magnetize it and feed it power. Nothing was ever created in this universe without a THOUGHT preceding it. Before a building is built, the architect thinks about it and envisions it in his mind. He then empowers it and feeds it by bringing his idea or THOUGHT into physical form by drawing the floor plans for it onto paper. He empowers it even more by writing down all of the specifications for the building. He might write down the physical dimensions, the material to be used to build it, the roofing material, the size of each room, the flooring to be used in the construction, the doors, the windows, their sizes, the paint colors, etc. He will create a specification list of every single building material and component that will go into that structure. He usually will create front, back and side elevation views, which are color drawings of what the building will look like when completed. In this way he is creating something which originated in his mind as a THOUGHT, and by writing down and drawing and specifying every possible detail he is participating in the materialization (or the creation into the physical world) of that which was once just a THOUGHT. By thinking through every detail, and planning and consistently putting in hour after hour into this THOUGHT, a real physical structure will become manifested onto the physical plane. Everything that exists in our physical reality began as a THOUGHT. Ponder on that... 5 Proven Ways to Safely Make Positive Life Changes One of the most important aspects of living a healthy andprosperous life is understanding "risk." By this I mean knowinghow to understand and analyze situations in life that affecthealth. Being able to accurately weigh benefits and risks whenmaking health decisions is very important! Too often decisionsare based on incomplete or inaccurate information and this is ahuge mistake with significant consequences! What You Can Do As A Non-Raging Mate To Either Fix The Relationship Or Forget It (The following is an actual email conversation between Newton Hightower, Director of The Center for Anger Resolution, Inc., and "Betty" the girlfriend of a rageaholic.) Be Selfish and Save The World Why do we help others? There is a whole lot of pain and poverty, illness and despair in the world. I can't speak for you but I would like to make a difference and improve the quality of life for others. Volunteer work is a great way to begin. Perspective Is Everything Ever witnessed an incident that needed to be reported to the police? It's amazing how much the stories from each of the eye-witnesses varies from others who experienced the same event! Are You A Victim Of FABS? Part One Have you heard of the FABS? The FABS are quadruplets; they are not identical but they are very, very similar! The FABS are: Fear, Anger, Blame and Shame. This quartet love to arrive, uninvited, at people's houses and literally stay forever. They will certainly stay as long as you allow them to; they never seem to get tired of hanging around and causing troubles for the unsuspecting host. You Gotta Be Positive! Remember Des'ree? She had a great song out in 1994, entitled 'You Gotta Be'. It was one of the most uplifting, encouraging and energizing songs I'd ever heard. Don't' believe me? Well, here is the chorus: "You Gotta Be Bad, You Gotta Be Bold, You Gotta Be Wiser. You Gotta Be Hard, You Gotta Be Tough, You Gotta Be Stronger. You Gotta Be Cool, You Gotta Be Calm, You Gotta Stay Together. All I Know, All I Know, Love Will Save the Day." Now, repeat that to yourself 10 times (or better yet, buy the CD) and tell me how you feel. Bet you start feeling better. Bet you want to start dancing around the room (especially if you're listening to the CD!). Anger And Your Driving Are you driving under the influence of impaired emotions? Improve Your Self Confidence Knowing yourself is the foundation of self-esteem, self confidence and personal development. Man has been seeking himself since the days of the Oracle of Delphi. "Know yourself" said the Oracle, but she spoke in riddles and the men who had come a long way to get a simple answer from her wise lips went away even more confused. The Art of Jiu-Jitsu Using an opponent's force against them is the fundamental teaching of the Jiu-Jitsu art. When two equal and opposing forces go head to head the force is neutralized. If the forces are unequal, one side gains a marginal victory. Using the force of an opponent requires little or no energy of your own. It is simply a matter of redirecting a force that could have been opposed. Combat Your Bad Days No matter how positive a person we are overall, there are times in our lives where our feelings well up and give us the sense that our situation could be better (for some it even reaches the point where they get a feeling of hopelessness). I Know I Can, I Know I Can I'm sure most of you remember the children's book about The Little Train That Could. I have to admit that at my age, I don't remember the exact title or exactly how the story goes, but I don't recall the idea in the story. The Courage To Succeed! The hardest part of success is the **courage** you need to succeed--when you think: "I'm afraid to talk to people.", or "I'm a loser, nobody in their right mind would follow me.", or "I could never do what he/she does..", or "I'm afraid to talk to people on the telephone..." Change Your Attitude, Change Your Life If we are the products of our attitudes then it is important for us to examine our attitudes, both positive and negative, to discover the impact they are having on our lives. This is even more important if we are determined to maximize the potential that is ours, a potential which, in the vast majority of us, remains grossly underdeveloped. Stinking Thinking Makes Hope A Dope Many centuries ago there was a Greek philosopher who lived on the Aegean Sea and wanted to go to Carthage. He was a very well educated professor of logic, so he decided he should do the very thing he taught his students. Hmmm?.What was it? Creating an Emotional Retreat Emotions have the tendency to take over our actions and reactions, despite the fact we prefer to claim otherwise. Society often sees emotions as a sign of weakness, so we became used to putting them away and try to focus on the logical aspects more and more. But no matter how strict and rational you desire to be, you will always be a human being, instead of a robot, and so you will always have feelings. Ditch Lack of Confidence and Unlock Full Potential Being the next Carmen Electra or Paris Hilton might or might not appeal to all you, but there are things that do appeal to you, and you don't do them. Moving? Pack an Emotional First Aid Kit From Making the Big Move: how to transform relocation into a creative life transition. Cleaned Up or Cleaned Out? I need your help. I did a good deed recently, but I was gripped by second thoughts. I want to know if you think I should have done this. Here is what happened: Mastering Mindfulness: A Thinkers Ode to Meditation I'm lucky. The Power of the Mind Each of us has a mind by which we convert ideas from spirit into the physical world. The mind is like a computer which when programmed will carry out certain tasks. Once programs are fully integrated we carry them out whenever the right key is pressed. Our automatic reactions are sometimes called subconscious programming. Actions become so habitual that we don't even realise we are doing them. |
