Two Poems: San Jeronimo Brook & [in English and Spanish]
Fair Andes! Thy arms reach high Of iron-woven solid stone Of glory hidden in thy heart So many paths, a maze of art? In thy old, Mantaro Valley Where adobes, breathe and tremble There lays the prettiest of brooks Is my heart, within its stream! My image deeply carved, rippled In its undiluted shallow waters Waiting, just waiting for me? As it opens up, opens up my soul My rippled soul-searching-eyes!... Note: Between Lima, Peru, and the Andes, and just beyond is the Mantaro Valley; therein, lays the area and village called San Jeronimo; tucked away within its foliage, and rustic background, is a brook, a stream that runs down form the mountains. It is a lazy and peaceful place. It glistens with the sun. What more can I say. #725 6/10/05 In Spanish A las Montañas ¡hermosos Andes! tus brazos llegan alto. *725 6/10/05 Fingers inside my Dream "Who's inside this dream of mine?" Death, death within a crimson dream? ?to fine I was never where I thought- ?stinging, grabbing me in this dream; (now?good night)! #726 6/11/05 In Spanish Dedos dentro de mi Sueño ¿" Quién està dentro de este sueño mio?" ¡(ahora...buenas noches)! *726 6/11/ Author/Poet Dennis Siluk you can see his books on http://www.bn.comor http://www.amazon.com

Two Poems and a Short Story 1) Stones As I picked up some of the polished gemstones in the rock store I began to think about what the stones looked like before they were polished. The store had several rocks on display showing the before and after and I realized that unless you knew what you were looking for, you could easily pass by a valuable gemstone. I also thought about how many times we pass by someone because they look "ordinary" and what we might be missing because we don't get to know their "inner person". Thus this poem. Learn About Love From Poet Rumi In this modern age of technology, busy lifestyles, and obsession with consumerism have taken a lot of the romance and love out of our lives. The Internet has become a medium to connect with people as everyone is finding it a lot harder to meet one another in the 'real' world. It has undeniably also become a place of voyeuristic fantasy in the realms of sexuality on pornographic sites. What ever happened to true love? Are our priorities so messed up that romance has been forgotten, only to be experienced vicariously through television and movies? The answer is no. Romance will never die; we just have to feed it with our energy. Because of You You are to me my lifelinemy security. That scares me.I never wanted to trust again that muchI got hurt too badly the last time.I swore I'd never do it again, never let the trust out of my handsinto someone elses.
