Learn what challenges their businesses face and think how you can help solve their problems. Caution: don't offer your solutions on the golf course. Wait until after the round. ? Ask open-ended questions. Remember your best approach in asking is: who, what, where, when, and how questions. It shows that you are interested in them. ? Make them be interested in what you do. When you are asked, "What do you do?" don't give them your title or what products/services or industry you represent. Give them a description of the benefits you offer.
