Whats Your NICHE Market ? III ?
What effect are the baby boomers having on the economy I hear you ask. Folks, in 2005, the economy IS the boomers! Boomers represent the vast majority of the work force. There are 76 million of boomers in the US alone; they ARE the economy. (That is not an exaggeration; that is a statistical reality.) Baby Boomers represent only 28 percent of the US population ? yet they represent 50 percent of the economy. The Baby Boomers are obviously aging and because of this are willing to spend anything to stay young, healthy and full of vitality. So keeping this in mind the NICHE market to take full advantage of (drum roll please) is the Wellness Industry. According to research, the wellness industry is headed for over ONE TRILLION dollars by the year 2010. This wellness movement will surpass the dot com revolution. Paul Zane Pilzer Economic Advisor to two presidential administrations and three-times New York Times best-selling author explains The Wellness Revolution. "The boom in the Wellness Business is ready to explode in a way never before in our history. At over 12 billion dollars in the U.S.A. and Canada this is just the tip of an ever-growing iceberg." Paul goes on to say ? "there's a great window of opportunity for network marketing companies to educate consumers about wellness products and services." "I see great opportunities coming for the network marketing industry because network marketing is clearly the best vehicle we have today, in the United States and around the world, to educate people about new products and services." "I see great opportunities for network marketing and network marketers because they're the fastest way to get the new information out there."(Exerts from An Interview with Paul Zane Pilzer By John David Mann and John Milton Fogg From Network Marketing Lifestyles Magazine Sept. 2001) So to summarise, the seemingly untapped NICHE at this time is the WELLNESS industry and your market are the BABY BOOMERS. Free Sample Sales Letter: Example of How to Write a Persuasive Business Marketing Letter Here is an example of a business-to-business sales letter mailed to auto dealers by a firm that markets gift cards that replace paper gift certificates. Hello, my name is Lance Winslow and I am the founder of The Car Wash Guys. Before now I have not disclosed my secrets of grass roots market; a strategic plan we used city after city to market our franchised outlets in 23 states. I named the plan Bonzai and Blitz Marketing. Yes, Bonzai is spelled incorrectly. Bonsai is the correct spelling for the plant and to this day I do not know the actual spelling for the Japanese Battle Call, but I do know how to say it and what it means to our team. I have never been a champion speller and I liked the pizzazz in the Bonzai spelling with the "Z" much better. Below is a strategic outline we used in setting up our target markets and then grid'ing the area out and then attacking that market to win customers to what we believe is the best service in the world. Top 5 Design Tips to Create Eye-Catching Marketing Materials Great graphic design looks effortless, but it requires lots of attention to details. Think back to an eye-catching advertisement, publication, or flyer you saw recently. Do you remember why you liked it? Perhaps it was something specific like the use of a cool graphic or font. Or, more likely, the layout and the words worked together to create an eye-appealing, memorable message that you're still thinking about today. There?s More to Marketing ROI (return on investment) Than Meets the Eye All too often people look at marketing ROI in terms of response rate: in other words, "I sent out 10,000 pieces of direct mail and only got 39 responses which is terrible." This is wrong think. Marketing as a Spiritual Practice II: Unearthing Your Potential Marketing as we know it is over. Done. Finito. An Internet Marketing Strategy that Works You can't put up a beautiful (or any) web site and hope that people will just arrive. To Swag or Not to Swag: Tip to Brand Your Tchotchkes on a Shoestring It's interesting to see how resourceful people become when starting their own business. Especially when budget is tight, creative juices go into high gear. I recall my days in corporate marketing when every event, whether it be a sales conference, partner summit or tradeshow had to have tchotchkes. ("Tchotchke" is Yiddish for those corporate giveaways you see at tradeshows, usually small trinkets branded with the company's logo. If the tchotchkes are really cool, some people even call them "swag" or "schwag.") Beyond Fear And Greed: Emotions That Sell Fear and Greed. The stock-in-trade of sales. How to Protect Yourself Against the Hidden Cost of Shipping to Trade Shows Trade Shows are lots of work, but they can generate lots of new business for their participants. In addition to the expense of staffing your booth, food, lodging, display, travel, etc. you need to consider how will you transport your equipment to and from the event. This sounds like a simple task, but few freight carriers deliver to trade shows. Why don't many carriers ship to trade shows? Anytime you have lots of businesses shipping to the same destination on the same day there will be problems. Every hour the driver must wait in line to unload their delivery will cost the shipper extra money and delay the remaining deliveries in the trailer. This "waiting charge" is in addition to the freight quote given by the freight forwarder or carrier.
