Choosing A Financial Advisor
With so many financial advisors trying to woo you with their qualifications and experience, how do find one you can trust your finances with? 'Trust' is the keyword here, as you will depend on him/her for your future financial security. A good financial advisor can help you determine which investments are best suited for you, based on your financial goals. He/She will also be able to help you with a savings program to build your assets. First and foremost, identify your own needs i.e. your risk-tolerance, insurance needs, taxes and whether you want short-term or long-term benefits. Once this is done, choosing a financial advisor becomes easy. Seek references from your friends and get inputs about their own experiences. You then need to interview the advisor and ask him questions about his experience, track record, services provided, investment approach and educational credentials. Gauge your level of comfort with the advisor as you are looking for a long-term relationship. Never hesitate to ask whatever is on your mind; however foolish the questions may sound. Always remember that it is your money and your future. Ensure that your financial advisor has the time to meet you frequently, perhaps once every three months and explain everything you need to know. He/She should be able to provide you with a quarterly assessment and advice you on any change in strategies. To get this one-to-one personal advantage, select a smaller firm than a larger one with an exhaustive clientele. Make sure that you choose an advisor who is compensated on a fee-only basis rather than on brokerage commissions. Advisors who work on commissions are obviously placing their own financial gains above your efficient financial management. They may recommend frequent and unnecessary transactions to derive benefits from them. Your advisor should be able to understand your investment style and risk tolerance. He should have the experience and the knowledge to accurately supervise your investments. Someone who has counseled clients and experienced market fluctuations will never let you down. If your advisor has started, managed or owned a business, he/she will have experience that might benefit you. In some cases a formal educational background compensates for a lack of practical experience. But, in any case, it is important that a your advisor works in a team and has experts to fall back on. Finally, find out if the advisor has any complaints or disciplinary actions on file. For brokers and securities firms, call the NASD's Public Disclosure Hotline and to check on Registered Investment Advisors, call the SEC's Investor Education Hotline. Be careful that you don't handover your hard earned money into unsafe hands. Above everything, use your own judgment. If you want your finances to flourish with time, it is essential that you choose the right advisor. Dan Noyes

Expand Your Pool of Investors for Your Company If you own a company that sells complicated products and you want more investors, consider having topics on your web site that discuss the background needed to understand your products and your company. For example, if your company specializes in producing and researching monoclonal antibodies, post articles discussing exactly what monoclonal antibodies are, how they are produced and what research your company is engaged in. In some cases, it may be a good idea to work with an outside writer, one who can explain the information in layman's terms. DXPortfolio: A Great Passive Investment of 25% to $40% per month First, I need to explain about e-currencies or digital currencies. DXPortfolio are based and supported by the supply and demand of e-currency. Before, I go on to explain how I have used my e-gold account in accordance with my DXPortfolioto grow a nice size nest egg for later (which is growing as we speak), I have to tell you something. As you can guess, the growth of digital currencies are just beginning. That brought me to the idea of DXPortfolio. This is a portfolio based on the ongoing collection of worldwide e-currency exchange fees. Since these fees will only increase, the portfolio will only increase. As you can see it is a win win situation. The only factor that is involved is how fast or slow it will increase. My experience has shown an average gain in my portfolio of between 25% to 40% increase per month. That will account to an increase of over 500% per year. I have been involved for over 6 months and plan on continuing my involvement. I almost forgot the best part. While this DXPortfolioincrease you can borrow the money you invested to use in other areas, and the portfolio still increases the same. Yes, you read it right. You can continue to use the money you invested while it continues to show profit. If you are interested in this kind of opportunity, I will tell you how I am doing it. Before you begin, you need to open a e-gold account. This is a free account that we will need to fund the DXPortfolio and also get the money back out for use. Numismatics are for Collectors, Not Investors As a precious metals investor, you may heard much about numismatic and "semi-numismatic" coins, particularly the St. Gaudens $20 double eagle gold coin. While coin collecting can be an interesting hobby, it is not necessarily related to metals investing. Coins of this type vary in value with the ebb and flow of the collector market and are not strictly tied to metal value. Also, these coins often go for much more over spot price than bullion coins. Commodities - The Next Big Wave of Fortune Building Have you often wished you could have got in on a tremendous money making opportunity before it took off? How would you feel if you had bought Microsoft stock when it first went public and your investment doubled 5 times? Imagine how rich you would be right now? Bankers in Denial Denial is a ubiquitous psychological defense mechanism. It involves the repression of bad news, unpleasant information, and anxiety-inducing experiences. Judging by the German press, the country is in a state of denial regarding the waning health of its economy and the dwindling fortunes of its financial system. Protecting the Tax Advantage of Your Deferred Compensation The American Jobs Creation Act of 2004 imposed strict new rules on non-qualified deferred compensation plans. Beginning in 2005, deferred compensation programs that are not in compliance with the new rules may be taxed as wages, slapped with a 20% excise tax, plus charged an interest penalty. Hedge Fund 101 - Make Money with Hedge Funds Investors are always looking for the best investments that will yield the most profit. Any investor who can afford the extra cost should consider investing in Hedge Funds. Hedge Funds were started in 1949 by Alfred Winslow Jones, who pioneered non-traditional investment strategies. Jones innovated this new investment strategy by selling short stocks, while buying other stocks (long stocks). Hedge Funds are very similar to Mutual Funds, except that there are fewer regulations on Hedge Funds. As a result, Hedge Funds usually require a much larger investment. The Differences Betweeen the Wealthy and Everyone Else I recently received an e-mail from a young lady who had doubts about the principles of wealth found in "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". She mentioned a couple of past failed investments, and wanted to know what I thought about investing and financial freedom - whether it was just a myth, or whether it could be acquired. I thought I'd share it here for the benefit of those who have struggled with investing, or perhaps from ventures that didn't quite pan out. Here's what I wrote back to her: Brain Snappers and Other Wall Street Nonsense The last time you spoke with your broker did he use any of the following words? Diversification,Price-to-earnings ratios, discretionary trading, lifting a leg (he's talking to you not yourdog), leverage, divergence, fee-basedcompensation, escalator clause, tactical assetallocation and other mesmerizing words to placeyou in stupefying shock. The Conflict of Interest Game Disgruntled investors are going after Wall Street once again, this time accusing one of investment bank Morgan-Stanley's high-tech mutual funds of making biased stock picks. Why Should I Use Penny Shares to Build Wealth? A strategic question. Why indeed? Emotions: A Traders Worst Enemy; Get Rid of Fear and Greed - Youll be Glad You Did You hear it over and over and over in books, forums, and chatrooms. Fear and greed, fear and greed, fear and greed. Emotions are a trader's worst enemy. What are we supposed to do about it? We are human after all. Human beings have emotions. We can't just throw a switch and suddenly behave like "Data" on Star Trek the Next Generation. Diversify! The best way to avoid being hit hard by a stock market crash or another Enron/Worldcom fiasco is to make sure you don't put all your eggs in one basket. Diversification helps ensure steady growth of your net worth as you accumulate more assets. A Safe Port For Mutual Funds But Not You! Soft dollars, a form of legal kickback, is a sly way you can get ripped off by mutual fund managers. Full service brokers give these kickbacks to non-indexed mutual funds in the form of a "rebate" to purchase research, software, and even computer equipment. Evaluating A Money Manager Scams and frauds are designed to take your money through false promises and phony claims. Money management is supposedly designed to increase your net worth. Sometimes these two worlds meet and the results are not in your favor, i.e., you have a considerable decrease in net worth. Makin The Sauce Let's face it, you're on a roll. After getting down to your attorney's office to sign the new Living Trust and then diligently tracking down your assets to fund the trust, you should be congratulated. You're one of the responsible ones - 70% of the people who die each year in the United States haven't even bothered to get a will. Frankly, you're an inspiration to us all. But to seal the nomination for the financial Oscars, a little work on your investments could go a long way.
