Building Your Own Goldmine - The Golds In The List
The best way to make money on the Internet is to build an opt-in email list and then promote one product after another to your list. The purpose of your web site is to build a list. If you're doing anything else first then you could be missing out on long term success. Focus on building your list...and then selling the products once the people get to know, respect and trust you. Give great content to your list first, so they are rewarded for giving you their details. Then sell to them about every fourth or fifth time you contact them. Your web site should be telling people the benefit's of joining your list. Then, after someone joins it, you can take them over to the main product you want to promote. It's a good idea to offer a smaller value product first to your new prospects. It's their first chance to buy from you. So you only want to show potential customers one purchasing option at a time (So they don't get confused). Pick a product which gives you a good amount of commission with a low cost product because the first sale is usually the most difficult. The purpose of this first product is NOT to make a profit. That would be a bonus! The aim is to gain the customers trust and get them into a buying pattern. The only purpose of this first product offer is to try to break even on generating leads. Once you know the lifetime profit value of your customer then you can bank on making money from later sales. You can place more ads to building a list and plan on profiting later. Just be clear on what your outcome is. To make a profit later all you have to do is offer the extra products you have or find and keep finding new offers or even package products up to sell at a discount. Remember sending out emails to your list won't cost you any extra money so maximize your initial advertising investment by marketing to your existinglist! As the old saying goes...Most businesses don't plan to fail, they just fail to plan!" Look at your online business as a long term venture and plan for the future not just for the now! There are several ways to ensure that your adverts are responsive let me outline my top ten response boosting techniques: Autoresponder Tips An autoresponder is useful for, well, responding to people who send you inquiries through email. They are actually more than just merely useful - they are an essential tool in any webmaster's toolbox. Used properly, they can enhance your visitors experience and virtually guarantee that they will come back time after time. Used improperly, they annoy people and push them away from ever coming back. Direct Marketing Strategies for Holiday Email Promotions Tis the season to leverage customer interest data for successful email marketing. Online Marketing Through Newsletters So you want to start publishing an online newsletter? Why? Because that's what all the online marketing experts and gurus said to do. You've been told you'll pull in lots of new customers if you just start publishing an online newsletter AND purchase their list magnet ebook. I am not going to tell you that because I know it's not that simple. In fact, I'll tell you the truth as I'm always compelled to do, and offer you an alternative while I'm at it. Reports of My Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated -- Email Marketing Recently, there has been a lot written about email and its (impending) death. From what you read on forum boards and in newsletters from well-known internet marketers, email marketing is dead. Too many ISPs are taking it upon themselves to limit the number of emails you can send at one time, or are blocking your emails from even getting to your subscribers's inboxes. 12 Tips For Writing Winning E-mail Learning to write more effective e-mail is a valuable skill when you are trying to build an online business. Here are a few tips to get you started. People Accusing You of Sending sp*am? Five Email Marketer Must Know Tips People tend to forget their subscriptions. Sometimes they don't even know why they subscribed to your newsletter. Especially if the person is seeking for information, he/she will subscribe to every ezine or ecourse that will come across their search. They don't remember it after a while. If you send email to them after few months, they simply accuse you of sending spam. The Ultimate Self-Promotion Tool Is Right at Your Fingertips: An E-mail Newsletter If you're looking for low-cost ways to promote your business (and aren't we all?), I hope you've considered publishing an e-mail newsletter, or "e-zine." Here are six darn good reasons why you shouldn't wait any longer: An e-zine is the perfect way to STAY IN TOUCH with your clients and prospects on a regular basis. Unless you continually follow up with clients and prospects, they'll soon forget about you. But imagine calling or writing each and every one of your clients and prospects every week! That would be nearly impossible to pull off. Well, an e-zine achieves the same goal - keeping you on their "radar screens," but in an unobtrusive way. This constant contact makes these folks more likely to think of YOU - not someone they heard about yesterday - when they need to hire a coach. An e-zine allows you to effortlessly SPREAD THE WORD about you and your business. If you write a decent e-zine, your readers will be very likely to pass it on to friends and colleagues. Remember that old shampoo commercial that went, "And I told two friends, and she told two friends, and so on, and so on..."? That principle - clients passing on the word about your product or service - is called "viral marketing" these days. Most publishers begin with only a few dozen subscribers who are their clients and associates. But after several months, you can have thousands of readers on your list - thanks to viral marketing mixed with some promotional legwork. An e-zine is a CREDIBLE and SUBTLE way to promote your services or products. Instead of simply *saying* how great your business is, an e-zine lets you *show* how great you are by sharing your expertise through tips or client stories. (As my old journalism professor used to say, "Show me, don't just tell me!") You're avoiding simple bragging, and are instead offering useful information that demonstrates your knowledge. Bravo! Publishing an e-zine positions you as an EXPERT in your field. By showcasing your knowledge and skills, you're likely to attract more and better clients. And by sharing what you know well, you're saying, "Hey, I know my stuff! I'm an expert." If you make a living by providing a service, you're an expert in your own right. If you're still uncomfortable with that term, try on the word resource." (Okay, feel better?) An e-zine is the ideal way to CAPTURE the e-mail addresses of your WEB VISITORS. If I visit your site today but aren't ready to buy from you today, you've likely lost me forever when I click away. BUT if you invite me to sign up for your free newsletter that features helpful information on the topic at hand, I'll be happy to sign up. NOW you've got me to market to, over and over, as long as you continue to give me the practical content you promised. This is especially powerful because statistics show that consumers don't usually purchase a product or service until after they've seen multiple messages about it. An e-zine is CHEAP and EASY to publish - especially compared with a print newsletter. If you were to produce and mail a snazzy-looking *printed* newsletter, you could easily spend thousands of dollars each year. But an e-zine is essentially FREE to put together and publish - it just takes a bit of your time. And you can make it as long or short as you'd like. (Some of the best e-zines I get feature only one tip per issue and are less than one computer screen long.) For best results, keep it simple! Newsletter Template: Should You Use Them? There is currently a huge demand online for newsletter templates. In fact, if you are a graphic designer looking for some new work to do, you should really think about creating some newsletter template and selling them on your site! Masterful E-mail Marketing There are more than 100 million e-mail users in the United States. Imagine how many of them might need YOUR services or products. Dozens? Hundreds? Thousands? Millions? (Go ahead... dream big!) Just Write an Email How did you sell your last product? Imagine that I am a newbie writing you an e-mail after reading your ebook. How would you answer the question?
