Commit To Cardio Exercise For Permanent Weight Loss
Everyone is looking for the secret to losing weight. Everyone wants it to be easy. There is no easy way to lose weight, but there is a secret. It may not be what you want to hear, though. The weight loss formula is basically simple: burn more calories than you consume. How do you do that? Commit to Cardio! Too many people underestimate the importance of cardio in their workout routine. If you truly want to lose weight, you need to be doing a good 45 minute to 1 hour cardio workout 4 to 5 times per week. Less than that will help you to maintain your current weight, but won't help you to shed those pounds. You need to find what you enjoy, make it a priority, and work hard while you're at it! The first step to making your commitment to cardio is to find what you enjoy. There are so many options to choose from - running, cycling, cardio machines in the gym, and group fitness classes, just to name a few. If you get bored easily, change it up frequently. Find a friend who likes the same type of workout and use the buddy system. If you pick an activity you enjoy, it will be much easier to stick with it. Make your cardio workout a priority. Quit scheduling your workouts around everything else you have to do, and instead schedule everything else around your workout. Write it in your planner if you need to, but don't let anything interfere. If you make it important in your daily routine, then you will find ways to work in everything else you need to do. Finally, while you're at it, work hard! Get your heart rate up into the aerobic zone and keep it there for at least 30 minutes.* Always think to yourself, "This is my workout, so make sure I get what I came for. What's the point of working if I'm not working hard? Push it!" Tell yourself these things as you work out, and push yourself! The benefits of a cardio workout routine go far beyond just losing weight and feeling better. Your heart will be healthier, you can lower your cholesterol and blood pressure, it's a stress reducer, you will feel better about yourself, you will have more energy, the list is endless. So quit making excuses and commit to cardio today! *To determine your aerobic heart rate training zone, you must first find your maximum heart rate (MHR) MHR =220-age Your aerobic training zone is between 70%-80% of your MHR. After 20 minutes in this zone, your body burns fat efficiently and quickly. Brinks Unified Theory of Nutrition For Weight Loss and Muscle Gain When people hear the term Unified Theory, some times called the Grand Unified Theory, or even "Theory of Everything," they probably think of it in terms of physics, where a Unified Theory, or single theory capable of defining the nature of the interrelationships among nuclear, electromagnetic, and gravitational forces, would reconcile seemingly incompatible aspects of various field theories to create a single comprehensive set of equations. Nutrition and Metabolism Disorder What is the relationship between intake of nutrition and metabolism disorder? Is slow metabolism the cause of my overweight? Are there any types of nutrition that can speed it up? Could a pill speed it up? The Great 8 Eating Tips for Fast Weight Loss @ Body Perfect Fitness Low Carb, Low Fat, More protein, Eat all the fat you want..... These are the many things we hear as we are bombarded with the latest and NOT always the greatest diet and eating tips when trying to find the Silver Bullet for permanent weight loss. Lose Weight - Diet Tips For Fast Weight Loss Looking to lose weight quickly? The good news is that it's possible. The bad news is that fad diets and quick fixes have a tendency to not last. The best way to lose weight and keep it off is to make a life-long change in the way you eat, the way you exercise, and the way you approach your relationship with food. Supplements and weight loss products get a bad rap, but they're not all bad. Taking a daily supplement like a complex B-vitamin or a one-a-day weight management can definitely help maintain a productive metabolism, and as long as you stay away from things with ephedra, diet aids can be a good tool for maintaining a healthy weight management program. How High-Carb Diet Plans Treat Carbohydrates A number of popular diets are focused on carbohydrates. Some demonize them. Then warn you against eating any carbohydrates. Others in fact, emphasize a high carbohydrate intake. Here is how high-carbohydrate diet plans treat carbohydrates. (Such as Ornish, Pritikin, and Food for Life) Fourteen Reasons Why Dieting Is Bad For Your Health 1. The lower the calories eaten per day, the harder it is for you to get your daily requirements of proteins and vitamins. 3 Ways Going with the Flow Will Make You Fat - And What To Do About It! Wanna know the truth? If you're going to be slim, you're going to have to swim against the current. You're going to have to take charge of your body and make your own decisions?cause if you go with the flow today, I guarantee that you're going to be fat. Here are 3 reasons why: #1) Rampant Portion Sizes 'Supersize it', 'Biggie Fries', 'Value Meal', 'Super Big Gulp' ? phrases that we use so commonly, it's hard to believe that we'd have to explain what they mean to someone from another era. Restaurants have blown their portion sizes so big in the name of providing 'value' that one meal could feed a small soccer team. Considering that your stomach is roughly the size of your fist (but thank goodness it stretches!), the portion sizes you get today in the average restaurant could probably fill 5 or more stomachs. But we're told to get our money's worth right? So go ahead and eat up. That way you can spend your money going to the doctor for obesity related health problems later. That's truly getting your money's worth! #2) Diet as Religion Diets boast a stellar 2-5% success rate (that's a 98% FAILURE rate by the way). And yet if an alien landed in North America, he (or she) would be convinced that our society must be built on the value of dieting. Billboards, magazines, books, television shows, ads, even restaurant menus?everywhere you look you're inundated with the latest diet, diet food or diet plan. Diets are touted as the ONLY solution to weight loss. We have more diets on the market now than ever before. We have more people on a diet now than ever before ? and yet we continue to get fatter?is there ANY POSSIBLE connection here? #3) Escalator Generation Go with the flow and you'll enjoy a multitude of worldly conveniences. You can microwave your dinner in 5 minutes, load your dishwasher in 2 and pay the dog walker in 1. You don't have to walk to the store - just hop in the car. Your kids don't have to go swimming ? they've got a new Xbox game. Don't bother taking the stairs because there's an elevator. You can sit at a desk for long hours without even getting up from your chair. And when you do come home from work ? you have the luxury of flopping on the couch and watching 'Friends' while eating takeout. Go with the flow my friend and you'll expend less energy while eating more. Oh - and you'll also be told that taking a pill is the only way to solve the problem of your ever-increasing waistline. One of the best photographs I ever saw was of the front of a gym. There was a staircase leading up to the gym with an escalator beside it. And you guessed it ? people were taking the escalator UP to the gym! The only guy on the stairs was walking DOWN them. That pretty much sums up the problem. Unfortunately, if you go with the flow in our world today, chances are very high that you're going to get fat. BUT by knowing what you're up against, you can take steps to go against the flow. By taking a stand, taking charge and making positive choices for your body ? you can live slim and healthy in a world skewed towards weight gain. Obesity and Weight Loss Surgery Let's face facts; obesity is ripe today in America and rising on a global scale in western civilisation ? where are we going wrong. Just keep believing in yourself and the miracles will keep happening. The right people will show up and the right opportunities will show up...GUARANTEED! Weight Loss, Exercise, and Bodybuilding Tips ? Keeping Your Body-Fat Low: Part 6 of 10 Do you know that while you work out the muscles are being torn down verses being built up? This sounds illogical doesn't it? You would think that you are doing the opposite? Well, over time this is true, yet in the short term it is different. This is why I encourage you to eat a balanced diet to replace all the fuel used in the workouts. It?s Not Just About Dieting You may not like what I'm about to say, but dieting alone will not help you to lose weight. You have to give your body the exercise it needs. As I mentioned earlier, a couple of centuries ago, people were involved in a lot of manual labor. The Diet Demons As the dieting phenomenon grows, with a new "diet guru" announcing "THE SOLUTION" almost weekly, so do the waste lines of America expand. Obesity is now a strong and gaining second to cigarettes as a preventable cause of death or disease. The term diet seems to have taken on a whole new meaning, moving from panacea, and becoming more and more a pariah. Secrets Of Weight Loss One thing's for sure, in this day & age, if you're wanting to lose weight you can be excited and discouraged before you even start down the path. You're excited because you've made the decision, which is the first step, and you know you're willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. However, you're discouraged because you have no idea what plan of action to take, which is the second step. Understand the Science of Obesity And Youre On Your Way To Conquer It Many people think obesity means that a person is overweight, but that's not exactly true. An overweight person has a surplus amount of weight that includes muscle, bone, fat and water. An obese person has a surplus of body fat. Body Mass Index (BMI) is commonly used to determine if a person is obese or not. A person with a BMI over 30 is considered to be obese, and a BMI over 40 is considered to be severely obese. Diet Sodas & Losing Weight: Is Diet Coke Good Or Dangerous For Healthy Weight Loss? Zero Calorie Diet Sodas: Good Or Bad For Weight Loss? Yes, You Can Lose Weight! Weight loss is one of the biggest industries in the world! And for those of us that need to lose weight it is the biggest struggle of our lives! The industry takes advantage of the fact that we don't want to give up our "little pleasures" by telling us we don't have to. They also know we don't want to get all sweaty, out of breathe, and feeling pain, so they tell us we don't have to exercise. "All you have to do is take this pill every day and the pounds will melt away, as if by magic!" they tell us. But, if you look at the small print they go on to say, "diet and exercise will make it work even better." But, come on, when you really stop and think about it realistically, of course it isn't just going to happen by taking a pill. We have to put more effort into it than that just because of physics and gravity if for no other reason. How is a pill going to make your body go against gravity? It isn't. It may help us burn fat, but the fat only comes back if we keep eating the way we have been and if the pill burns the new fats that we put into our bodies the old fat is still there. And besides all that what side effects is the pill having that isn't good for us? And just look at all the money we spend to lose weight and then frustratingly it doesn't happen and we could have spent that money on a cruise! Weight Loss for Good ? If Only You Had Known? Whether coming from a close friend, the nightly news or from a letter in the mail, it's hard to face the truth at times. Hear-ing it can really cut to the core of our be-ings. |
