6 Little Prayers That Bring Healing - Every Time You Pray
Ok, let's start with the amazing story ofRobbie and how a little-known scripture in the bookof Galatians got him healed of cancer - after the doctors had given him only 6 months to live!! Ready? Here we go... Robbie at 45 was diagnosed with terminalcancer several years ago and was given just 6 months to live. He and his wife Nancy, resigned to this fate, and retired to a small community to wait for the end. They were Christians. They believed the Bible. So, instead of blaming God like so many in this kind of situation do, they made up their minds that they were going to study the Scripture and pray till the very end. An old story remembered But Nancy also remembered a story she'd read years ago. It was about a certain missionary in the jungles of Africa who came down with a deadly disease and was left to die. After a week of intense suffering and pain, he had a dream. In the dream, he saw his Bible opened at a certain chapter and two verses of scripture highlighted in red. He woke up, managed to open his Bible to that chapter and painfully copied out the two verses. Scripture Verses in Action Every few hours he would pray using those two verses. The pains were tormenting him. On the third day, he drifted off to a painful sleep after the prayers, as usual. Many hours later, he was awakened by a fearful sound - the roaring of a lion. He leapt to his feet, and started running blindly for a while. Then he stopped. It suddenly hit him that he was completely healed... he was feeling no trace of pain at all! Nancy remembered this story vividly and hope began to rise in her that God could also intervene and save the life of her husband. Persistence So they continued to praise God, even in this circumstance. They kept right on thanking Him. And they kept praying. Then it happened. During prayer one night, a verse of scripture in Philippians kept coming into Robbie's mind. To his surprise, Nancy stopped abruptly after a few minutes and announced she was going to search for a verse that'd been flashing in her mind since they started praying. Guess what? It was the exact same verse that Robbie was thinking about. They opened the Bible, found it and began to use it everyday in prayer. The miracle begins The 6 months came and went. Robbie was still alive. In fact, he seemed to be getting better and better everyday. One year. Two years... Robbie was back on his feet. He even went back to his old job for a while. Five years later, he retired to become a full time missionary. He's still in the mission field a decade after he was supposed to be dead from terminal cancer! P.S. Thinking Out Loud (Answers) Part two of a two part series (Channeled)Spirituality is about everyday life, which includes getting up in the morning, getting ready for the day be it work, school or play. It is about knowing yourself and the connection to your environment. It is about defining who you are and then living a purposeful life within those definitions, it is about changing those definitions and making adjustments to accommodate them. It is about saying to the world "I AM," and demonstrating it within the physical body that you created. Language of Dreams Dreams take us not into ourselves, but out of ourselves. -Richard Jones Globe Unity Most of us think of what a wonderful world this would be if only this or that. Well the Bible says that to follow the words of Jesus Christ and walk in his ways. Are we truly following his words or walking in his ways. Lets see what the Bible says about unity. Let's look at Psalms 133:1 How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! Since we are not in unity what can we do. Take a look at Romans 15:1 it says We who are strong ought to bear with the fallings of the weak and not please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me. For everything that was written in the past was written to teach, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Spiritual Healing - The Hidden Truth and Misconception Throughout history, what is portrayed in all religions as being the manifestation of prayer or miracles is in fact manifestation of our connection with the essence of our Soul and the manifestation of the power of spiritual healing. We have heard throughout the centuries about such miracles that have happened to people, and how they changed their lives. This has carried on until now when we still hear of these 'miracles' in our time today. What would be the difference between a miracle that has been approved by a religion and one that has been manifested by a healer? Two Types Of Spirituality ... Faith And Knowledge The term spirituality is a confusing term. Usually, when one mentions spirituality, the first thought in many people's minds is that of religion. While religion is an aspect of spirituality, spirituality is not an aspect of religion. Spirituality covers other areas of belief as well. Put simply, spirituality is the all-encompassing arena of belief in something greater. This can be a god, oneself as the greater being, or simply, the life-force or essence that surrounds us all. But, society and religion lead their followers in many different directions replacing the core meanings with moralistic and idealistic terms in hopes of garnering attention by answering those big questions pertaining to life, death, the after-life, and a god. What is True Freedom? Freedom.... Thou Shalt Not Be Shallow I have sent out hundreds of press releases for my new book entitled Hook Line and Sinker or What Has Your Church Been Teaching You, published by Publish America of Baltimore MD.It has been a great learning experience for me. You Have a Friend in Jesus Have you heard the saying that; You have a friend in Jesus? Great quote, it sounds really nice, but it should read you have an invisible friend in Jesus. After all you are having a personal relationship with a dead man, one who has been dead an awfully long time indeed. So, if you have a friend who is invisible and you are how old now; why haven't you looked into some psychiatric help for this problem of yours? Now before you call me the anti-Christ, who is your evil invisible enemy; think about this for a second. If a child has an invisible friend we seek counseling for them. If someone still has an invisible friend later in life we put him or her usually in insane asylums. Gods Will Many may wonder what is God's will, or how do I put God's will into my life? Well let's see what the Bible says about God's will. We must first understand that Jesus wants us to be holy. Let's look at 1Peter 1:13 it says Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written; Be holy, because I am holy. Christening and Baptism Favor Ideas Baptism and christening ceremonies are an important event that signifies the start of a child's spiritual life. As a common courtesy to guests who attend these ceremonies, the parents of the child or the host of the event often obtain party favors as a gift. Here are some themes and ideas that are appropriate for these occasions: Was There a Better Way? Whenever, we have a task or project to carry out don't we alwayslook for the most capable person to lead us? And if the task were supposed to follow a set pattern, don't we like to stick to time-tested methods that worked all the time? A People in Exile (Part 2) Mother Nature has this uncanny tendency to turn upon herself ? undoing with her left hand what she has made with her right. She sends hailstorms to the destruction of her own blossoms. She unleashes a tempest upon the crop that she herself has ripened for the harvest. Lightning splits the trees that she has nurtured and sets the forest aflame. The Woodstock Effect: And Weve Got to Get Ourselves Back to the Garden Woodstock, the watershed event for a generation, had a far greater impact on us than anyone could have guessed back in the late 1960s, when it was first conceived as a commercial venture by four entrepreneurs looking to promote a music studio they proposed to build. While the actual festival on a dairy farm in New York's Hudson Valley was not without controversy and many less-than-harmonious components, the storied Woodstock spirit of Oneness that shines through it all is emblematic of our age-old desire for a higher way of relating with one another; of a more loving existence-the existence of our origins-and our destiny. At our depth, we know Oneness. With all its warts, the mythologized Woodstock, and the song it inspired, triggered our remembrance. Karma: Is It Good or is It Bad? You Decide! We hear this word so often and have one thing stuck in our mind ? it's either a bad thing or a good thing. The other issue is: do we believe in Karma? Regardless of whether we believe in that word or not, it is still there. Karma plays a big part in our experiences and life lessons. Even if the "word" Karma does not exist in your personal vocabulary, karma still exists in your life. The Truth of Reactions In my life, I have tried to be Good and Pure and True. In these qualities, I have failed miserably. Why is it so hard to be good? Why is it so difficult to act in harmony with our mental ideals? Anger in Your Energy Field Many consider anger a normal human emotion and continue to allow themselves to be seduced by it. I suppose another way of saying that, although it's not my preference, is that many are "addicted" to anger and "think" that it is of some use in their lives. Abiding in the Word How many Christian people do you know who are bearing no fruit? Jesus said, "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. (John 15:4) Seeking the Sacred People have always sought the sacred. It is the Divine within striving to reconnect with the all. We are instinctively drawn to that which is thought to be sacred. People have traveled from all over the world to walk the streets of Jerusalem, to stand in awe at the presence of Stonehenge, to view the pyramids of Giza, to be healed at Lourdes, etc. How Psychic Are You?
