Mars is not hollow; is it?
Is Mars Hollow? We are pretty sure it is not, but no one can be certain however we might soon know. The reason such a question is asked is because of questions about the Earth and the time it takes for sound waves to travel through it. And the speed of the spin rate of Mars, the question of moons is interesting and a few other interesting a recent discoveries. Here is one of the thoughts on the matter. By bouncing waves off the polar ice caps this can be proven or disproven; http://www.ourhollowearth.com/MarsIsHollow.htm http://www.goddardmultimedia.fsnet.co.uk/atpai/canals.htm Most scientists to do not buy into the hollow planet theories, yet others admit we just do not know. The most interesting of all is the straight-line canals, which is hard to fathom considering using our own knowledge about our planet here. But Mars is a different planet or satellite and therefore has different characteristics completely. http://www.spacedaily.com/news/life-00v1.html . http://www.lpi.usra.edu/meetings/largeimpacts2003/pdf/4102.pdf And what is underneath our surface? Well we know certainly more than we did before. CalTech which runs JPL is getting to the under bottom of this. After all with all the seismic knowledge we have from there they ought to know. We are not the only ones studying this; the UK has ideas and so does Japan. http://basic1.easily.co.uk/057044/04D005/NAW2003p2.pdf So the question is not as far fetched as you might think. We will soon find the truth? We do not seem to be finding much complex life on the surface of Mars, although we have a lot more area to look at. We know of water on Mars and expect to find underground water too. Is this where life might be? Could it be in the polar ice caps and in the ground water in cavities under the surface? If there is anything such as the complex life forms we find on Earth, then they are probably underground, where we have not looked yet. Or perhaps the biblical scholars can rejoice and say; see we told you so? Think about it. Here is a concept, which with the proper protocols could save the human race from near extinction. Human Hibernation. Put as many of the Pandemic victims to sleep as possible before they succumb to the virus or pathogen. Then isolate a team of scientists to figure out a cure. Once the cure is discovered inoculate the scientific team and have them go around to wake everyone up. Wake up the largest groups first and train them with videos how to inoculate the all those people that there is enough vaccine for. Ground Targets Via Space Laser Weapons It is now possible to overwhelm our enemy from space or near space (ultra high-altitude) Blimp weapons. Right now we watch as 11 Western States have massive wild fires, most caused by lightning, but they could just as easily be caused by laser weaponry. Like a lightning bolt from God, airborne laser weapons could wreak havoc on an enemy. Today the United States Air Force Research Laboratory is testing airborne laser weapons where a THEL type system is put inside of a 747 Boeing Jet Aircraft. How Can DNA Testing Help an Immigration Case? DNA testing is routinely used in immigration cases to prove whether a child under 18 is a biological child of or, in some cases, is related to an individual with a leave to remain in the UK. Most DNA tests for immigration reasons are parentage testing (paternity or maternity) but in some cases a grand parentage or avuncular (whether a child is a nephew or a niece of the sponsor) test is employed to prove an alleged relationship. Acoustic Transducers and Material Memory in Pipelines to Create Flow Up Hill For the better part of human history mechanical pumps and suction techniques have been used to bring water uphill. By using dynamic pressure, downhill kinetic energy, pumps, suction and heating up the fluid mankind has been busy getting those fluids to market or desired areas. We deliver oil and natural gas in pipelines, water in canals and pipes and a variety of fluids in this fashion. Material memory polymers are now available and seem to be a good fit for moving fluid uphill. Material memory works like a human muscle; it constricts and then moves back to its normal shape. Think more the toy; "Stretch Armstrong" and how you can stretch it and it simply goes back to its originally designed shape. If we line the pipelines with material memory manufactured substances we can cause them to constrict and then open which will flush the fluid forward and then the suction will quickly fill in the less dense areas of fluid and we do this over and over again. Mini Robots Grid Meteorite Search We need very much to study meteorites more, but we need more sampling to get this done. One way to do this is to go out hunting for meteorites. This is much easier said than done. But perhaps using some current technology it will not be quite so hard. For instance AFF Automated flight following systems has been used for more than a decade now. It uses GPS tracking by satellite to guide aerial fire fighting aircraft into the drop zone to let loose of their fire retardant. This is especially important when you cannot see and know that there is no ILS Instrument Landing System to guide you in. Energy Aware and Waste Wise Constantly bombarded with negative information about the environment, finances and natural resources? Feeling overwhelmed? Each and every one of us can do something to help our world - starting right where we are, right now. Though not everyone can afford to donate cash or time to a cause, there are endless tactics that will decrease an individual's contribution to the landfill and their resource consumption. Pre-empt the Radiation or Die At West Point, in a speech, President George W. Bush shared the doctrine of pre-emption with his cadets that he articulated as a countermeasure to September 11 attacks. Pre-emption, defined as the anticipatory use of force in the face of an imminent attack, has long been accepted as legitimate and appropriate under international law. In the New National Security Strategy, however, the Bush's first administration was broadening the meaning to encompass preventive war as well, in which force may be used even without the evidence. This particular idea had still been severely debated and really staled but Professor Lawrie Challis's invention has brought the President's angle back into perspective. Down Scrolling Text to Find Patterns I believe a program can be written to scan text such as an email, story or article in Western Languages, which might indicate a pattern which maybe of valuable insight. By Down Scrolling Text, which we have all done, whether thinking about it or not, we will most likely Find Patterns Which Indicate Hostile Intentions, sadness, stress or vengefulness. Perhaps you can determine intelligence levels, etc. Try it sometime. Read 10 pages of text from an individual and then put yourself in the writer's shoes. Was he-she angry in the article or report? Were they honest in their summation or point of issue? Was there a point of issue? Or like the uni-bomber did they ramble somewhat? Look at the text of Mienkoff or patterns in the Declaration of Independence. Laser Attack, EA, Scalar Attack on Composite Manufactured Vehicles More and more future fighting vehicles introduced at the Military Trade Shows in Pakistan, China, Israel seem to contain composite material as integral components to save weight. This composite material is lightweight and has many advantages to the high cost of exotic alloy. Composite is also free from the corrosive properties of aluminum and rusting properties of iron. It is for this reason we will world fighting vehicles switch to composite components whenever heavy armor is not needed. We will also see a trend towards ceramic-composite combinations in substitute for steel armor. Lighter war vehicles, harder to see on radar, lighter and faster, greater range and longer lasting to deal with seasonal changes on the surface of the planet causing rust and corrosion. Science Fiction by Arthur C Clarke It is difficult to have a discussion with someone about science fiction if they are not familiar with the works of Arthur C Clarke. The concepts are not too awfully difficult to understand and not nearly as complex as reading Issac Asimov for the science fiction novice and anyone can enjoy Mr. Clarke's works. If you are interested in science fiction, I recommend this set of audio tapes: Tactile Pressure Sensors for Future Robotics Scientists and Robotic Researchers are attempting to design human type personal assistance robots. As they work to develop algorithms, which most resemble the thought processes of the human brain others are attempting to make them more life like thru human behavioral techniques of mirroring and facial features. Soon robots will be very much like humans, on the outside that is. Robotic humanoid devices will assist us in many of our needs. Imagine a robotic companion, it might take a walk in the park with you, go jogging or even spot for you lifting weights at the gym. As we get older and cannot do certain things for ourselves our robotic companions will be by our side as caregivers, helping with our life transitions. Electromagnetic Energy in Space Tesla was always looking for a way to harvest electromagnetic energy and deliver it to the world wireless, after reading a biography about Tesla, I had come up with this concept. Marine News - Summer 2004 - Our Ocean Environment Our oceans are home to many marine mammals, fish, turtles, corals and others. The delicate balance between man and the ocean is constantly being challenged by the demands of our society. Most of our planet is covered by water, a necessary ingredient of human life. The state of our oceans should be uppermost in our minds in order for quality of life for all species to remain as it is. A Unique History of the Light Bulb Most people assume that Thomas Edison invented the light bulb. This is only partially true however. Historically speaking, many people helped developed the modern incandescent bulb. Though Thomas Edison's achievements were by far the most significant, there are several others that deserve some credit. Is Your Brain Really Necessary? The reason for the apparently absurd question in the title is the remarkable research conducted at the University of Sheffield by neurology professor the late Dr. John Lorber. The Debate About Cloning There are two types of cloning. One involves harvesting stem cells from embryos ("therapeutic cloning"). These are the biological equivalent of a template. They can develop into any kind of mature functional cell and thus help cure many degenerative and auto-immune diseases. Whenever there's a drought, someone will come up with the idea of finding a rain maker, or holding a day of prayer for rain. Hibernate Enemy with Gas Cloud Scientists have discovered chemicals, which cause humans to go into a hibernation type state similar to our mammal cousins the bear. This discovery has many killer applications from first responders slowing the bio-systems of those who are seriously injured to long-term space flight or even stopping a civil unrest or riot, which has gotten out of control. |
