Has God Ever Disappointed You in Prayer?
Of a truth, the physical manifestations of God's answers to our prayers do nto come as quikly/immediately as we ask from Him. Why? God answers our prayers each time we pray to Him, but the manifestation of some of these prayers are delayedat times due to reasons best known to God, some of which He in His infinite mercy Has laid in our heart to share with the people of God to strenght and encourage them to pray., because no prayer goes unanswered, only the TIMING of the manifestation matters. One of the reasons for this actions of God is not far fetched, man in his nature of sin is bound to be proud, regarding himself as a superhuman or as if it is his holiness ( or because he is better that others),or magnitude of prayer, or time of praying and fasting that have given him attetion before God and made his prayers to be answered. He then consider others who though have prayed but have not received answer as people of lesser faith, prayers, fasting or holiness. Ihave lots of evidences to drive home this point. While I am on this subject let me recommend a very good book to you: Crazy in Love Several years ago my cousin was pleased to find out that she wasn't going crazy,she found out that what she suffered from was O.C.D. or better known as "obsessive,compulsive disorder". Just knowing that what she suffered from had a name and could now be treated with proper medication and through the power of knowlege,she could contend with it on a more positive level. At least it was confirmed that she was not crazy. Through lack of knowlege, we however are quick to label this sickness as a brain disorder or just someone who is crazy.Obsessive compulsive disorder causes repeated behavior by the sufferer to the point that we veiw them as 'not normal'. Anyone who doesn't suffer from this to some degree can't imagine why anyone would keep repeating a certain action when they know it was already completed.But this where lack of knowlege comes in.When we aren't educated properly,we lack understanding and then rely on our opinions and not truth. It also does promise that if we are giving individuals we should expect to have many wonderful blessings returned to us as a result. These promises are unquestionable. Christ said that if we gave that men would give to us good measure pressed down and running over, Luke 6:38. The principle here is not in question; it is the use, and or rather the misuse of this principle that causes all the trouble. Anyone trying to prove that the Bible does not promise God's blessings to the generous giver would come up woefully short. So how does this doctrinal new kid on the block, the abundant life gospel, succeed in the wake of its highly suspect proponents and their methods? Planetary Alignment Planetary Alignment is said to have magical powers. Some believe during these rare occurrences those living in that time-period have the ability to change things. Other believe that Planetary Alignment can cause catastrophic seismic activity changing gravity waves and causing hell on Earth with Volcanoes and Earthquakes. We are pretty sure that even a complete alignment of the Planets since they are so far apart will not cause any major shifts here on Earth. Yet many believe that there is some changes of forces during these periods which only last a 1-3 days total. We too used to accept this as truth. We have recently been convicted by the Holy Spirit , and instructed by God, to speak out against this principal as a heresy, and a deception of the Devil, that it has taken some 30 - 40 years for our enemy to foster into church doctrine. We have encountered some truly amazing responses in this endeavor, in the form of, in some cases, condemnation from fellow Christians. We have been told we are "lost", "out there", "unthankful to God".
