The Power of a Positive Attitude
You wake up in the morning sleepy and fatigued; the day has to start but you do not want it to. You stumble around; stub your toe on the dresser and step on the dog. What do you do, get mad and waste the day with anger or get excited because you woke up this morning and the day is going to be awesome. Unfortunately, most of us fill our day with negativity from the moment we get out of bed. Then we wonder why our day is not the best it can be. Attitude affects every aspect of your life- even your on-line business- so why not have a great attitude. The good news is you control your attitude, not me not circumstances, and you do. Every time you get excited about your day, you made the choice to be excited. When you walk through your day with negativity it was a choice you made. Make The Right Choice Making the choice to stay positive is an easy task but it takes commitment and will not happen over night. It is learning to find the positive in every situation and retraining your sub conscious mind to think in the positive instead of the negative. Unfortunately, we are bread to think negatively from the time we can walk but we can retrain ourselves to be the positive motivator that takes charge and wins in life. Read on to learn the techniques I use to maintain a positive attitude. Make A Goal To Change People often ask me why I am so happy all the time and I tell them because I made a goal to control my attitude. Setting a goal to make a commitment to change your attitude is the foundation that must be laid. If you need help on how to set a goal, you can read my article on goal setting at: www.Dreams2freedom.Com/myarticles1.html. Affirmations Affirmations are the key to maintaining a positive attitude. An affirmation is a positive statement said in the present tense with conviction. For example, I am a money magnet, money flows to me easily and effortlessly or I am an extremely positive person at all times. I made a list of seven affirmations that I say twice a day every day and I recommend you do the same. I say my affirmations every morning in the shower and at night before I go to bed and when ever i fill negative about something, this way they will be imbedded in my sub-consciousness through out the day. Fight A Negitive With A Positive Every time you find yourself thinking negatively, turn it in to a positive thought and repeat it ten times. It takes 10 positive thoughts to cancel out one negative thought. Every thing can be put into a positive; for example, you are stuck in rush hour traffic and you want to get home to see your family. This is an easy situation to get negative about but instead make it a positive by saying this is awesome, I now have time to clear my head from work so when I get home I can give my family my full attention. Now when you get home you are in a great mood and ready to play with the kids instead of being grumpy. Follow through on what you just read and you will be surprised at how much better life and business will be. This will be a tough road but is any thing worth achieving easy! You Are Magnificent! Creating Self-Confidence The image you hold of yourself determines your success or failure in every aspect of your life. What do you really think about yourself? Do you like you? Do you believe in your abilities? Are you worthwhile? Are you the person who sets and accomplishes his or her goals? Are you decisive? Where do we gain these self-value skills? They begin with our thoughts. Increasing Expectation Positively! At your next staff meeting lead your team through the following discussion and exercise. Taking Yourself Too Seriously? - Suggestions for Reclaiming Your Perspective "We can change our circumstances by a mere change of our attitude." - William James, 19th Century American psychologist and philosopher Five Ways to Stay Positive in a Negative World In view of the increasing negative events happening around the world here are five things you can do to help you stay positive. Chanel Your Prosperity Energy Today Every emotion, wether we classify it as good or bad, has energy. Think about it. Can't you feel it when you are angry or bouncing off the walls happy? Just as there are levels of energy for these emotions, there are levels of energy for another emotion - wanting. Shifting Your Paradigm What is a paradigm? In my own words, a paradigm is a belief system. It can be a personal belief system, or one held by a mass number of people, or even the whole world. Such a belief system is so entrenched in our minds as truth that it usually does not occur to us to question it. Therefore, many of us never even think that maybe this thought pattern needs updating. But, inevitably there are those that go against the common thought, and begin to challenge long held beliefs. More and more people begin to awaken, each individual begins to change their personal belief system, and the phenomenon that occurs as this old belief system comes tumbling down is often referred to as a paradigm shift. What Every Employee Should Know About How to Maximize His Potential for Success There are countless books that describe success principles. Here are a few principles that I have summarized for you: Develop Yourself - The Power Within Living without limits. Living your life to the fullest. Living with happiness. Living your dreams. Living free from fear and worry. You have the power to live your life any way you want. Focus Your Attention Lately, there has been a collective challenge to avoid being embroiled in the media events of all that has been happening in the social, political, economic and military arenas of our great nation. Many recent events have left people with a sense of ominous foreboding, uncertainty, fear, despondency. At the very least, there is mild emotional discomfort and a sense of vague dissonance. The Power of Negative Thinking For some reason, most people find it easier to think in a negative way than in a positive manner. It seems that some effort is needed to think positive thoughts, whereas negative thinking comes easily and uninvited. This has much to do with education and the environment one has been living in. Create Your Own Confidence Bank Account This is a technique that sounds a bit silly when you first hear about it (and doesn't seem at first to get much better as you read on) but WORKS, which is what counts, if you apply it to your life. The idea is to "open" a Confidence Bank Account for yourself. Bear with me on this! Stop Complaining You don't need to a piece of paper to prove that you can do something! I don't have anything against achieving or completing degrees or obtaining masters and all that ? absolutely nothing. In fact, I am a law graduate myself and will strive to provide good educational background for my kids in the future. But I am sick and tired of people complaining about how they wish they could do something and not being qualified to do it! I mean COME ON!! Get real?? Beliefs Do you realize that what we believe about ourselves, affects us so much more than what is actually true about ourselves? Let me give you an example of what I mean. Your Thoughts Are Powerful The only thing between you and your desire to be successful and wealthy is one single fact: You are not successful or wealthy because of how you think. This little known fact keeps many from reaching their goals of success and wealth. Theres No Negative In My Program - Part 2 Well you know about the young hero who saved his brother, but that was just the beginning of the incredible feats of these young men. Condition or Definition? In talking with a coaching client recently, she made a statement about a negative habit followed by these words: "that's just who I am." I challenged her to re-examine what she had said. In fact, the truth was, she had a habit, but it was no more "who she is" than to say that the package your food comes in is the food. It is the package. It may represent the food or cover the food, but it isn't the food. And therein lies a key distinction. I challenge you this week to examine whether you have given power (identity) to something that is actually a condition rather than a definition of who you are. Perspective Is Everything Ever witnessed an incident that needed to be reported to the police? It's amazing how much the stories from each of the eye-witnesses varies from others who experienced the same event! Good News! The Pathway of Change Is Predictable Often when radical change occurs in our lives we feel confusion - not only about what's happening but also about how we'll cope with it. This is especially true of negative change such as the loss of a romantic relationship, a job or a loved one. Of course, confusion is perfectly normal and natural, but it needn't get in the way of handling situations effectively and of accommodating any kind of change. Why? Because your personal path through change is probably predictable. Success or Failure: How to Cope With Failure There is no such thing as failure ? only feedback ? we can learn from our failures. Do not let apparent failures beat you up, learn from them. As humans, we tend to be harder on ourselves than others are. A small child learning to walk never fails to get up and try and try and try until success is achieved. It is the same in life; every failure is a step closer to success. Self-esteem: Does It Really Matter? Some people are full of confidence and able to meet even the most difficult challenge with an air of authority. A good level of self-esteem is essential for us to function successfully in our professional and personal lives.
