We Do Not Have An Upside Down Trade Deficit Because We Cannot Compete
Our trade deficit is directly proportional to our attacks on US Businesses and Entrepreneurs. We do not have an upside down trade deficit because we cannot compete. We can compete with any nation. We have bad policies, over regulation, too many lawyers and lawsuits. We have judges and juries ruling for unbelievable sums to send a message to the businesses and industries as if it were the job of the court to dictate policy. Now then with everything and everyone against the businesses, there probably will not be many businesses in the future and therefore the jobless rate will peak out. We also must take care of the brain drain and technology transfers to our competitor nations who steal our patents and trademark materials. Meaning if we do not get moving and fix these things the US as we know it will be passed by the Pacific Rim, and EU as mega players in the future. If we allow our country to act as the United Countries rather than the United States, we can expect more of the same, not less of the same. I think all aspects of society ought to stop calling the kettle black and back off of this doomed direction because this road leads us down hill. Business needs a voice, a voice of reason. Luckily the Democratic candidates who are anti-business are no longer pandering to and now back peddling a little from the crybaby constituency they have in the past catered to, in order to get incoming donations for their campaigns. This means maybe they will lighten up on the issues of attacking businesses. Sarbaines is not running for re-election, good. Any politician in my professional opinion has no business pointing fingers at corporate America. No politician who has not run a business needs to be elected. No Professor who has never run at least a small business ought to teach anything but ART Appreciation basic 101 classes at the community college level. Opinion and that is exactly what this liberal academia thinking is, because if you have never been there, how would you know what it is all about, lifer academia is idealistic and full of the PC acid of our society is doing to this great country. News reporters who have an axe to grind ought to be in a format designated for that, such as the Factor, Scarborough or such. Not in a format of news only. There is a time and a place for opinion. Mine included and if you will note it is usually on a private website blog or in an article like this one where I let you have it; straight from the gut; but the gut of an entrepreneur who has had to deal with the blob of bureaucracy all his professional life. Look here is the deal, we are never going to balance the trade deficit until we get real and realize who built this nation and start letting those capitalists and entrepreneurs do their jobs, what they do best; build and create, without attacking them every time they invest in our economy or want to expand their endeavors. If we have to take Caesars advice and kill all the attorneys, we may as well, because it is just a matter of time before the Chinese come over here and do it for us and then take care of all of us too. We need to negotiate from a position of strength. That means a strong economy and business community too. Think about it. Pilot-Less and High Speed Train Transportation Systems; Better Strategy Needed We recently saw another ferry accident, this one in NY when the pilot of the vessel fell asleep, which may have been a medical situation or condition, but never the less, accidents like these would be prevented by pilot-less transit systems. This would be no problem with modern technology. We know in the future this will be an accepted method and fully safe. Should the FTC be Allowed to Regulate Franchising? Recently the FTC, Federal Trade Commission put forth a report on franchising. They want to further add to the franchise rule, even though they should be reducing regulation since there is not fraud to speak of. In our country we have identity theft and identity creation costing this country billions of dollars and destroying family credit, chances to own a home and allow them to join the ownership society. We have SPAM costs businesses some 30-57 estimated billions of dollars per year in lost productivity. In the last 24 hours I have received 2336 emails and only 120 were legitimate, the rest was SPAM. As far as Law Enforcement experience at the Federal Trade Commission, I think there is work that needs to be done and I would not call what has been done in franchising regulation enforcement; law enforcement experience. You can call it grandstanding with fancy meetings, press releases, PR events, case filings, but the fact is that the Federal Trade Commission has failed. The FTC failed. My SPAM has gone up 3000% since up started enforcing it? Identity theft has run ramped. On October 28, the FTC announced at a meeting of private investigators that they had filed now 63 cases against SPAM. Guess what it is not working, my SPAM is still increasing? So if filing lawsuits is considered a law enforcement experience, it is not any problems. Similarly the FTC's failure to bring relevant and honest cases against disreputable franchisors show one of two things, either; Jihad Will Continue The Jihad against the Western World will continue. It will also continue against the Eastern World next. Why is this happening; why do they continually plan to attack innocent life? Why are they using this weapon against others? Why are they using their religion to build their International Terrorist Teams and recruit suicide Jihadists? Well the answer to the question is because it works. The Jihad works and many are folding their hand. Mass Media hysteria and fear have taken their toll on weak peoples of many countries, who are surrendering their freedoms and their civilization's forward progression to this simplest of tactics. Spain in the Madrid Bombings caved into International Terrorism, they should have never done that. Such a back track will not save them from future attacks and it certainly assists the Jihadists in their war on the civilized world. The Civil War - FOGC Thomas Jefferson wrote a letter to Lafayette in 1823 that went as follows: "I do not believe with the Rochefoucaults and Montaignes, that fourteen of fifteen men are rogue. I believe a great abatement from that proportion may be made in favor of general honesty. But I have always found that rogues would be uppermost, and I do not know that the proportion is to strong for the higher orders... These set out with stealing the people's good opinion, and then steal from them the right of withdrawing it by contriving laws and associations against the power of the people themselves." John Roberts ? Supreme Court Nominee President Bush's selection of the Hon. John Roberts is an interesting choice. The betting, and there had been betting, was on a minority or female candidate. Instead, President Bush swings for the fences with a middle-aged, white male. Let the ugliness begin. End Of History? Not Quite A visitor to Moscow would be immediately struck by the fact that an otherwise dull Kremlin now seduces one to break the sound barrier in a mike, rediscover one self on a Compaq or simply feel Warner in a Pringles. If this is not enough then there is always Chairman Mao in Tiananmen Square calling upon workers and peasants to not only carry forward the revolution but also gulp down a Sprite, while they are at it. Numerous more examples abound from the Adriatic, so what does it all signify? Is it truly the end of History? Do we now see a time when a matter of ideology is drinking a Coke or a Pepsi? Closer introspection would reveal that it is not quite so. FTC Franchise Rule Making Sound and Fury in the Sand Box of Free Markets Today we have a new franchise report from the Federal Trade Commission to further inhibit the franchise model thru more redundant paper work and over regulation, which will only serve the lawyers and give job security to the bureaucrats. However, it serves no free man in this present period. If you look at all the comments in the FTC's franchise report and rule making session; you see dickering from both sides over phrases, disclosure topics, wording in the UFOCs from lawyers, franchise rights groups and industry associations. More Devastating Than a Nuclear Bomb Despite their signature on the Biological Weapons Convention of 1975, it has been reported that China has the most advanced modern germ warfare arsenal in the world at Xian, Shaanxi province. Public Procurement and Very Private Benefits In every national budget, there is a part called "Public Procurement". This is the portion of the budget allocated to purchasing services and goods for the various ministries, authorities and other arms of the executive branch. It was the famous management consultant, Parkinson, who once wrote that government officials are likely to approve a multi-billion dollar nuclear power plant much more speedily that they are likely to authorize a hundred dollar expenditure on a bicycle parking device. This is because everyone came across 100 dollar situations in real life - but precious few had the fortune to expend with billions of USD. An Overlooked Plan for Bush, Kerry, Democrats, Republicans, and Healthcare Costs In an effort to assist our political leadership it would be wise to have a simple solution to a life threatening problem. The much talked about Medicare Medication benefits are going to waste if the medications are not taken properly. Since this month of October is "Talk About Prescriptions" we should recognize some basic facts. There are multiple steps available that will benefit all consumers of healthcare. (Aside from obvious unmet steps for physical activity such as of walking). Competition Laws A. THE PHILOSOPHY OF COMPETITION The Morality of Child Labor From the comfort of their plush offices and five to six figure salaries, self-appointed NGO's often denounce child labor as their employees rush from one five star hotel to another, $3000 subnotebooks and PDA's in hand. The hairsplitting distinction made by the ILO between "child work" and "child labor" conveniently targets impoverished countries while letting its budget contributors - the developed ones - off-the-hook. Using More Trees to Reduce Atmospheric CO2 As global warming continues to escalate the concerns of today's scientists, the federal government has been spending millions in research in an attempt to reduce greenhouse emissions, the substance that has been credited with the increase in planet temperature since the beginning of the 20th century. The Typology of Financial Scandals Tulipmania - this is the name coined for the first pyramid investment scheme in history. How Dogpoo is Changing The World Perhaps a silent revolution is taking place, this time more than ever literally on your doorstep. Irritatingly literally even. The Dragons I hope to provide a starting point for the serious scholar interested in the all important Chanes of Central America and convince researchers to look into the Egyptian dragons (crocodiles) and Chinese as well. I suspect the Li or Lee family of Merovingians has some connection to the Nestorian and Basilian types long before the Kuomintang which Andre Malraux knew was a high level Masonic structure. It is most important to look at the work of alien reptoid or Elohim promoters of all stripe and color. Sir Laurence Gardner is right alongside the Mormons and other Masonic Medusas or Gorgon types. Voting Pro-Environment is Good For Jobs, Health, and Security There are many issues on the minds of US voters these days, but according to national polls, the environment ranks ...um... somewhere above hemp policy and just below humane treatment for Teletubbies. Confession of a King Rufus King: (Said to be the fifth most important person in the founding of America by another researcher.) 5 Years in Prison for Satirical Flash Films About the President of Belarus They do not allow the criticism of the president in any kind, whether it would be an animated file, a joke, the poster or the broadcast. So they believe in Minsk and don't understand humour. Thinking on Energy Regarding the de-regulation of energy, this is not such a bad idea really; even the commoditizing of energy is not such a bad idea. This can be done correctly and can assist businesses in judging costs and allow entrepreneurs to understand their costs and turn variable costs into fixed costs meaning more investment in R and D, co-generation, and larger capital expenditures for manufacturing, knowing things will be okay. We see a huge problem with factories, which switched to Natural Gas to save the environment and get some tax breaks and this winter may be put out of business due to the rising costs during the coming shortage of Natural Gas. |
