What Is The Value In Wanting To Accomplish Something?

When I listen to people tell me about some of the things they want to do, I pause for two reasons. One is the fact that I'm listening and watching them to see if they are serious within themselves. Secondly, if it's something they really believe that they can accomplish.

Can dreams come true? You better believe they can. But life is much more than dreaming. It's about desire and believing. What is it that YOU desire? Do you "believe" YOU can accomplish it?

If you don't desire and believe than there is no use in wasting your time. There are many in this world that are simply followers and not leaders. However, if YOU are a leader, then what's stopping you?

You want - but you don't have. You desire, yet your still only dreaming. Yes you want to, but what are you doing about it? Why is it that I don't hear these people say what they're going to do rather than what they want to?

Well I've been there done that, so I can relate. First let me tell you that there's nothing wrong with being a dreamer. I still dream, desire, and believe that my dreams are well within my grasp. Today however I am more than a dreamer and you can be as well.

After all, there is no value in wanting. As long as you just want, it will always be a want. But when you "decide", that is to make up your mind that your going to be a "doer" then slowly but surely your life will begin to change.

Dedication to accomplish what I believed in wasn't an over night task, it took years to show up in my life. Yet today I can truly say that I'm not what I use to be.

I don't think the way I use to think. Today my words carry weight. I mean and do what I say. My actions line up with my words which has caused me obtain things that were ordinarily out of reach. How did I accomplish this? By visualizing what I wanted to do and by being committed to obtaining and living it.

By forsaking every negative force in my life and replacing them with every possible positive I could find. My music, friends (drinking, smoking and single care-free lifestyle buddies) and movies (high sexual content, violence) had to go. They are powerful subtle influences in our lives that corrupt and serve to change our desires.

Getting rid of the filth left me more time to concentrate on accomplishing my goals and desires. Enabling me to live my dreams, which incidentally changed with my changed lifestyle.
