Eliminate Performance Anxiety Forever
You've had many years of training in your craft as a performer, singer, actor etc. but if you still feel haunted by the ravages of Performance Anxiety your career may be in serious jeopardy. Performance Anxiety, that familiar nemesis to all performers is often experienced as some or all the following physical experiences: anxiety, tremor, loss of focus, poor concentration, tension, stammering, forgetfulness, fear of performing, avoidance of performing, self sabotaging behaviors prior to and during a performance, locking up of key bodily functions ( i.e. locking up of vocal and other muscle groups preventing spontaneous and heartfelt expression ), abdominal tension and distractibility to mention a few. One of the more common ways of helping performers with this problem has been through the use of medications with all their inherent potential medical and performance side-effects. Other performers often resort to a course of short and/or long-term psychotherapy to try to get at the root cause of their own Performance Anxiety. The effects of such measures is often temporary if at all effective. It often can be a long drawn out process. Ideally, most performers are looking for a quick and painless method of dealing with Performance Anxiety that will have lasting effects and which will not have detrimental effects on their health, their performance or their careers. Also, apart from just doing damage control, astute performers are keenly in search of new and better methods of enhancing their performance from an emotional perspective. In the last 10 years, Dr. Nick Arrizza, a former Psychiatrist, Stress and Performance Researcher, Professional and Executive Coach , has painstakingly researched different ways of helping performers manage negative emotions; the underlying cause of such problems as Performance Anxiety. In his quest he has discovered and developed a powerful tool which he calls the Mind Resonance Process? transforms negative emotions into more adaptive and positive strengths, perspectives and capabilities. This process helps bring new energy, vitality and inspiration to one's performance career and has the potential to open up locked up creative resources that have been yearning for expression. In order to begin to understand how the Mind Resonance Process? works it is important to appreciate how a problem like Performance Anxiety originates. Very briefly, Performance Anxiety rests on a deep foundation of negative emotions. For instance, take the negative emotion " I'm afraid the audience will hate me", or "I'm afraid I'll lose control of my voice during the performance". What are the consequences of having such negative feelings in one's consciousness? Well clearly, Performance Anxiety to name one. The Mind Resonance Process? has been designed to help the performer a) become aware of their own repertoire of unconsciously held negative emotions b) to become aware of how these emotions remain "anchored" in their consciousness and c) to quickly and easily transform these negative emotions into a more powerful and resilient mind set about oneself, the performance and the environment. This transformation is often accompanied by a greater sense of inner peace, self confidence, self control, self assuredness, creative and emotional expression, energy, vitality, buoyancy, joy and harmony in the operation of one's physical instrument. Nick Arrizza M.D., is an Energy Psychiatrist, Life, Executive and Performance Coach, Healer, Researcher, Speaker, Developer of the powerful Mind Resonance Process(TM), Author of "Esteem for the Self; A Manual for Personal Transformation" (available in ebook format at: http://www.telecoaching4u.com/ebook.htm He holds internatinal telecoaching and teleconference sessions on healing mind, body and spirit.

Business Innovation ? Ignoring Content Creativity can be defined as problem identification and idea generation whilst innovation can be defined as idea selection, development and commercialisation. Hiring for Success Hiring someone new to work in your business is one of the most critical decisions a business owner makes, although it is not always given the justice it deserves. If a position is vacant, or additional staff are needed, recruitment decisions are often driven by the pressure to get someone in quickly, rather than waiting for the best person to fill the job. Lack of proper and systematic recruitment process can also result in a high cost to the business. Managing Yo-Yo Style Does being managed by others smack more of "Survivor" than Stephen Covey for you? Could there BE any more management styles out there-have you gotten to experience all of them yet? And what kind of manager are you-or should you try to be? Creativity and Innovation - Large Firms Versus Small Firms There is a pervasive assumption that small firms are more creative and innovative than larger firms. That is, they identify problems and generate ideas (creativity) and idea select, develop and commercialise (innovate) those ideas to a greater degree than larger firms. However, there is a large degree of untruth to this assumption: Understanding How Change Has Changed There seems to be an assumption that change is a single traumatic event that is thrust upon us and over which we have no control. How To Own A Business... Instead Of A Job Every business is run by someone who took on a risk with their time and money. So I believe that person should be rewarded. Too often as business owners we forget to enjoy ourselves. We forget that we deserve to be paid far more than any of our team. Managing People - No One Shows You What To Do Imagine the following scenario - you pay a visit to yourdoctor one day and in the course of the conversation he orshe lets it slip that they have no formal medicalqualification. However, everything's okay because they'vebeen involved in the "doctoring" business for years, hadlots of experience and have read several books on thesubject; I bet you'd be out of there like a shot. Hidden Consultants Within Your Organization You've all heard the old joke about a consultant being someone who uses your watch to tell you the time, and then steals your watch. There's some truth to the story: consultant recommendations are often the same things that your employees or customers have been telling you all along. But while you will listen to a consultant, you don't listen to your employees and customers. Why is that? Why do companies pay more attention to consultants then they do to employees or customers? And what should you do about it? But let's start with an even more important question: why should you listen to employees and customers? Meaningful Diversity: Creating Cultures of Inclusion In the fitness room the other day, I caught a glimpse of a movie trailer on television. A father spoke very open-heartedly with his son about his work as a fireman. He acknowledged the fear that welled up in him when he looked into a small, dark room filled with life-threatening heat and flames, and described the instinct to run in the opposite direction. The Power of Positive Communication Communication is the key to your success at work, at play, and at home. Here are six tips that will make a difference in your life: The New Economy This technological revolution has organization, efficiency and productivity requirements well above what was needed in the past. And although all three of these have always been important, they are now considered crucial in the growth and maintenance of businesses worldwide. Group Discussion Guidelines DISCUSSION METHODS: There are two basic types of discussion methods; the conference method and the workshop method. The conference method involves meetings of staff members, usually from the same organization, and is convened to pass on information, communicate management policies or decisions, or to solve organizational problems. These meetings are usually held for only one or two days, and generally consist of large discussion groups. The workshop method, on the other hand, is usually utilized when there are participants from a range of companies meeting for periods of longer than two days, for the purpose of devoting their attention to a specific problem or shared interest. The discussion groups tend to be small, and techniques such as role playing, case study, critical incident are commonly used. Understand What Flows Through Your Business to Find Improvement I remember once seeing a cartoon which showed two people working a counter. Questions To Ask Employees You Want To Retain Times of cost cutting and downsizing has dramatically impacted the way employees look at their careers. Employees at all levels now know better than ever that job security is no longer something they can count on. They've been required to think bigger, look at other options and do whatever it takes to prepare themselves for the future. In essence, they have let go of their corporate commitment and become "free agents" in search of the best opportunity available. |
