Never Too Busy to Listen
Are things busy at your house or workplace? Imagine how in must be at Celestial Control Central: "Good morning, Gabriel. Let's go over what's on the old schedule for today." "Yes, Sir. We've got a hurricane brewing in the Caribbean, set to hit Haiti with 90-mile-an-hour winds at sunset. Mount Keemakeetoa in Indonesia is going to start belching smoke today and shake a little, but the big eruption is on Friday." "What about human activity?" "As You know, sir, the Middle East is still a hot spot, along with Central Africa and Eastern Europe. That counter-revolutionary group in Peru is planning a strike against Lima in a few days. Beyond those, we have the usual bombings, murders, drunk-drivers, plane crashes, and sinking ships." "Hmm." "Plus hypocrisies, fallings from grace, heresies, factions, and the common sins of the flesh." "Crowded schedule. Review the positive side for Us." "There's a big evangelistic effort going on in Caracas, Venezuela, today. Dozens are hearing the gospel for the first time. A Mrs. Dunlap is having lunch with her neighbor that until today had not spoken to her in 15 years. Two scholars are putting the final touches on a book that will convincehearts and minds of the authority and inspiration of the Scriptures. And those 37 couples in San Bernadino-" "Excuse me, Gabriel, but Katrina McGee is about to pray. It will only take a few minutes. Then we can finish our meeting." "No problem. First things first." Gabriel leans back to wait. The Apostle Peter knew God's heart when he quoted Ps. 34:16:"? the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer.?" (1 Peter 3:12). Since He's never too busy to listen, and puts no one on hold, let's pour outour hearts to Him every day. Believe In Yourself Diana is a wonderful person with a great personality and a lot of talent. Anybody who knows her can easily see the talents that she possesses. Everybody, that is, except Diana. Spiritual Bread Making All the ingredients to make 12 loaves of bread already exist. The probability that any kind of bread already exists in your reality and it is simply is a matter of combining ingredients to create a possibility. The ingredients do not have to be created to make brown bread, they already exist. What is it that makes brown bread? Listening to Your Heart! Trying to predict stock price movements is necessary, of course. After all, when stock prices fall, the cost of borrowing and of issuing new equity can rise, and falling stock prices can both undercut the confidence of employees and customers and handicap mergers. Unfortunately, however, most of these predictions are no more than rough guesses, because the tools CEOs use to make them are not very accurate. Net present value (NPV) may be useful for estimating the long-term intrinsic value of shares, but it is famously unreliable for predicting their price over the next few quarters. Conversations with sample groups of investors and analysts, conducted by the company or by investment bankers, are no more reliable for gauging market reactions. Attitude Adjustment "If you are pained by external things, it is not they that disturb you, but your own judgment of them. And it is in your power to wipe out that judgment now." If You Were an Angel... What Would You Do? If you were an Angel what could you do to make a difference? What would you do? To some this is an overwhelming question. The first thought that would go through many minds is " What I do wouldn't make much of a difference ... I am only one person." Get past that! Remember ... the question is if you were an Angel. Angels can be everywhere, be all and do all as they are messengers of God. Inspirations: Some Other Things Ive Noticed Along the Way So Far Some people live in and talk about the past so much it's as if they are "planning for the past." Inspiration: Some Things Ive Noticed Along the Way So Far Let's file this one under the heading of random musings and observations, or what I like to call "things I've noticed along the way so far." The Brilliant You, Unreleased! You're a remarkable person. But, you knew that already. Still, buried among apathy, unbelief and inhibition, is the brilliant "you" waiting to be released. You already knew that, too. A few disappointments here, several temporary defeats there, and POOF! just like that, you settled for being a risk-conscious, opportunity: self-denied, generality. Nobody makes any progress by standing still. You're not an exception; and you're not alone. Discernment and Judgement Discernment is an inner guide or compass. It is loving and expansive, and offers freedom, honor and options. Judgment on the other hand dishonors, condemns, and contradicts. There Must Be More To Life Than This If you suffer from a nagging feeling of "there must be more to life than this", you're not alone. Lock In Your Legacy You, my friend, are going to die. How to Guarantee a GREAT Day Every Day! I have a standing interview every Monday morning on a radio station in thesoutheast that I enjoy very much. You can imagine though that it can becomeroutine. So to make it a little more fun, the host nowadays doesn't eventell me the topic before we go live on the air - that puts some excitementinto it! Why Anyone Can Be Prosperous In nature, when the season is right, all things flourish and overflow with abundance. Arranging Stepping-Stones The greatest achievements were obtained by those who took one step after the next. They resolved to succeed, and moved little by little toward a worthwhile goal. Forgiveness "If unresolved anger is a toxin to the spirit, forgiveness is the antidote." - Brian L. Seaward Sissys Show of Support I had been fighting with the software program that I used to build my website. The software program had a bug in it and would occasionally anger the main brains of my computer. Without warning, my computer would lock the program shut and forbid me to enter the website's file. I never knew from day to day which time I saved the file and closed it would be the last time I'd be able to open it. It didn't happen very often, but when it happened, it was like the file no longer existed. My computer had put an invisible prison wall around it and I was no longer allowed to enter in and work within the file. I would have to recreate the website from scratch every time this happened.
