Your Goals Clearly In Mind
Keep Your Goals Fresh In Your Mind - Most of us have goals, the question is how many of us actually follow-up and work those goals. What I mean is going a step further then actually recording your goals, with that said the question is how do we effectively work our goals list... Here are a few techniques that work for me, hopefully you can adapt these to work for you. Add daily, weekly and monthly tasks to your overall goals. Make these tasks achievable yet enough to stretch you at the same time. The objective of achieving our goals is as much as what it makes of us to reach them, as it is what we actually get in reaching them. The main idea is that with each accomplished task, it's taking you closer to your overall dream. Equally important is to take evaluation of your progress along the way. Review your goals at least once a week, or at least once a month! It is the old out of mind, out of sight saying. Don't fall victim to it. Keep your goals fresh in your mind. If you can review your goals each day you're that much better off. It really is about keeping our objectives fresh in our minds. Setting Sail for Your Destination Whether taking on a new project, starting a new job, beginning a new relationship, retiring, relocating, or any new start, setting sail can be the most exciting and exhilarating part of the journey. The anticipation that comes with taking off toward your destination helps to propel you forward. However, setting sail may also be accompanied by challenges or feelings of anxiety and fear as you leave the safety of the known to risk stepping into the unknown. For me, the past two years have been a time of new beginnings. A move to a new city, getting settled in a new home, meeting new friends and colleagues, exploring a new area and learning a new language have marked many new opportunities. It has been an exciting adventure and a time that I have enjoyed very much. The alarm goes off at 6am, you roll out of bed and run down the hall to wake up the kids. You're going to be late again! You shower fast while the kids are getting dressed then you head downstairs to grab nutrition bars because you don't have time to make breakfast. You grab the backpacks on the way to the babysitters, give them fast kisses when you get there and you're on your way to work. Did I mention the crying? Goal Getting: 5 Steps to Get You There Quickly One of the things that frustrated me while in school was that most of the psychology books specialized in complicating things. It's the same with many self-help books as well. I always wondered why relationships, change and meeting goals couldn't be made much more simple. Got Purpose? Is your life on purpose? Be Discontented With The Status Quo It is natural to be satisfied with the way things are; but the moment we settle for how things are, we give up the opportunity to experience how things could be. Life is evolutionary, but only if we allow it to be. If we choose to, we can get stuck in the comfort of the status quo and miss the real opportunities that require us to step into a bigger life. She was the woman who brought Helen Keller out of her dark and silent world and into a place of understanding few of us in the hearing and seeing world fully grasp.
